Anyone catch the leak posted on Reddit earlier?

And every other new "sim" that's come out that isn't a $19.99 bargain basement wonder on Steam. Because this market alone is simply not worth the effort.

Why would you say that?

It's a testament to how strong the sim market is that we are still getting new DLC for FSX, a 14 year old sim, even today.  The markets for both X-plane and P3D are strong.  If Microsoft can monetize a store for the new MFS then it will most certainly be worth every effort they put into it.

The problem with the bargain bin sims on Steam isn't an issue with the market, it's a problem with the sims we've been getting for many years now.  MFS looks to be actually taking us into a new generation of sims, something the market has needed for a very long time now.

I think the new sim is very much worth the effort, and I'm glad it appears that Microsoft feels the same way.

Conspiracy theory: MS leaked those videos themselves and now they're laughing their heads off over this thread ...

Well that wouldn't make any sense if the rumours of a recent update increasing the number of watermarks in response to the leaks was true.

Edited by Tuskin38

Watermarks have increased, it's bothering a lot of testers but for me I don't care because t the end of the day it's test software and we're suppose to be testing not using the alpha as a main sim.

The website is indeed subpar, confusing, unfriendly, slow and with an erratic access. Been said many times by me and others without any change.

They use Wordpress for the site, never thought a multi-billion corporation would use that.

Not a leak as it uses MS/ ASOBO officially released footage but very nice side by side comparison of FSX and MSFS2020 airports worldwide;

With apologies if the EFB has already been spotted and discussed.

If you go on #MSFS2020 someone named Bruno seems to have posted two pics of what appears to be a stand alone tablet or monitor of an EFB. I've zoomed in and it does look interesting.

I've been wondering.  Did the new security do away with any new leaks?

I have mixed feelings about things like this. To me, this seems like a direct challenge to all the hackers in the universe, and that never turns out well because the hackers always win if the challenge is tasty enough and the prize is worthy enough.

Companies keep coming out with more and more "unbreakable" protection schemes, and just as darwinian evolution would predict, all that happens is that they simply breed better and better hackers.

Me too. There's been nothing since that rather lovely Redding strip one and that was a couple of days ago before the latest alpha - so I'm beginning to think; yes.

As the cat says though - I expect they'll be a few trying to work out how get around it.

TBH, I'm over the whole "Leaks!" thing - they weren't terribly good, and we didn't really see anything we haven't seen from officially published material which has been in much better quality. Meh! - as they say...(still don't really know what it means)
