Have you tried disabling your overclock?  I was having similar frustrations and disabling my overclock seems to have eliminated most of my CTDs (knocks on wood).

I can’t wait either hopefully to fix some of the CTD I have been getting 

I’m sure there will be more issues but progress is progress 

If LM was an AAA studio and they released something that is as half-baked, bug riddled, CTD prone as v5 is, the gaming press (along with the tens of thousands of users) would have eviscerated them online in article after article. Only because of the very niche market they have they been able to escape any bad press really. They really screwed the pooch on this release. now 3rd party dev's are held up such as FSL and PMDG (NGXu). Unreal what a mess they have made. Even Rob and a couple others have said it will bascially be v5.1 before this thing is even where it needs to be. 

Not taking the dive till at least 5.1.  4.5 still working and no CTDs.

Likewise, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t buggy to hell. 

I am using V5 with HF1 with no CTD issues so far. To prevent, I do not have the Truesky Beta activated and I only take advantage of an fps gain while solving the problems that we know exist.

No.  I'm trying to find a way to fix it without resorting to changing the overclock.

I notice all the guys having these problems seem to have OC systems

I have a i7 8700K GTX 1070ti and run @ 4.6 ghz

have not had 1 problem with P3Dv5 I run all ORBX scenery and only fly addon aircraft

I have deleted all stock aircraft as I have done with all the other P3d don't know if that has anything to do with it but it works for me

I also run REX sky force with no problems
