Exactly. This is getting better and better and we ain't even in beta.

LOL at those thinking they'll keep X-Plane and P3d on the same HDD with MSFS. No you won't. 😉

I've already ceased buying any add-ons for P3D v4.5 or XP11. I don't even want them as a gift. These legacy sims have been anywhere from a challenge to a nightmare.

OK, so let's say that a city is 20,000 to use your lower figure. That would make the population of the world 40 billion. Now we both know that that is not true.....

Yes that is true, but the point is they could define it smaller than you'd consider a city to be, after all city in French also means town. So, if we're being ultra specific, their definition extends to any defined area with a population over a few thousand.

There will be some simmers who keep the current sims for various reasons.  They'll find something or another to justify it, like "I have too much invested", or "it does everything I need", or "I don't trust Microsoft again after what they did to Aces".  And that's fine, fly what you like and all that, all the power to them.

Personally I've already moved on from P3D, I still have it installed but I've stopped flying it out of disinterest due to the new MFS.  I'm ready for the next generation and I'm looking forward to starting over from a clean slate once again, this time with a modern built simulator for modern PC's.  It's long past time and there isn't any way on this Earth I could stay with FSX, Xplane, or P3D anymore, not with MFS coming soon.

Don't believe everything some supposed Alpha tester [or disgruntled tester) puts on the web.

I'm an Alpha tester and I own X-plane 11 (stated with x-plane 8), P3D v4 (with a ton of Orbx scenery and Active Sky), MSFSX (I started with the floppy disk version), and DCS.

I decided not to upgrade to P3D to v.5 because of MSFS 2020 and I don't plan on ever going back to X-plane again..

Who really cares?

Does anybody really care if people are stating that they are no longer buying addons for their sims?

I also think that there are far more snowflakes here in the forum than in the sim.

Anybody notice that we have been told that we will be given a release date for Alpha 5 next week?

Alpha 5!!!!! and the tree size moans continue!

Far too many self proclaimed experts!!!

Thank you for telling us, I'm sure that some of us were not aware how bright the future for us will be.. How many lumens, would you say?

Now that Shak95 is gone

I‘m not gone but I can‘t participate in many of the speculations anymore. Also, I can only post screenshot locations for which I have no insider knowledge, i.e. I‘m only allowed to use publicly available information (I asked on the insider forum).

i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

I'll agree with calling post launch navblue charts "dlc" (assuming there is a  charge for them) ...  if we agree to call navigraph dlc for p3d/xplane

Also I like seeing the imperfections in the videos. I knew that mfs would be great but not a 1 to 1 copy of the real world...  as they said "the world is big" ... even still..  current sims are not really even trying (past the airport boundaries) .. so even if it is only 80x better than xplane/p3d instead of 100x better...  I'm still getting it.  Either way it would be a huge leap forward.

I hope that the testers already in, offered you a glass of champagne when you got in  😃!

Strictly as an Alpha/Beta control scheme Charlie. There will be none in the release version!

You are all wrong here Bill. P3D introduced the novelty of a static watermark on a released product. MS moves the cursor forward and will offer a moving watermark. This is progress you know.

So VR confimed?

2.06% of XP users have used VR in 2019. That's what I call a minority. 😄

But I guess VR will come to MSFS as well.

Same here. I just use what I have to pass the time.

😅 I‘d have happily accepted but I guess they don‘t care much about the comparisons. Also I have the automatically generated nickname there.

VR support made it to their list of most requested features so yeah I guess you are right. We'll see what the flight sim landscape looks like when they release it.
