I have a physical license sticker and it allowed me to upgrade from Win 7 to 10, no problem.

It is only when I enter the XBox world that all this stuff starts to happen.. and the MS Support articles do not work for me..

Bert ... the Microsoft store is in no way user friendly. What I stumbled upon, was simply starting over (after purchase, obviously). I pressed the "Install/Play" button and because this initial download is very small, it quickly started again and refreshed itself in seconds, the result I already posted. I cannot imagine I am anyone special to have had this happen. Do keep trying!

This line from the Microsoft document just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy..."Instead of creating a new account, you may already have a Microsoft account and not realize it. You may have created one unknowingly when you wrote a document in Office"

Here's another doosey...."Remember, the more you add, the more useful your Microsoft account will be."  Microsoft forgot to complete the sentence with..."for Microsoft to track and identify you around the internet."

Had exactly the same thing, now have the play icon on my take bar.

I followed your lead and downloaded about 217 MB of FS2020.. it never asked me where to install it, and I have no idea where "it" went..

No "Play" icon though..

If it's the free W7-W10 Upgrade you don't have to link it since it's non-transferable, once that PC dies the license dies with it.

If you've purchased W10 Box or through MS Store then goto Settings/Update&Recovery/Activation and follow the prompts but you need a MS Account and you can link multiple devices through that one account.

Same here Bert. No idea where what I purchased is. Can't sign on Xbox, Xbox live. X box Companion, Microsoft store blahblahblah. I was accused of Blaspheme for comparing to Flight. 😉

It's interesting when he said that it took two circuits over Manhattan to buffer it all and then went sightseeing. Believe me, no current add-on comes close. Coming from someone who does scenery that's quite a statement.

Where did you read that? 😉

It seems that MS does not play by the rules of other application vendors..

ps. I am still looking for traces of FS 2020 on my system.. the shortcut does not point to a file location, but a cryptic app ID.

Appdata\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps

is where I can see some placeholders..
