well now I dont feel so alone (1080 here too) 🙂

I think the 1080 will work pretty well, don't worry so much. Give it a chance.

I cranked up another play through of Subnautica to occupy my mind.

I love Subnautica.

Well I've been referred to a Cardiologist 🙄

In the interim, to pass the time, try watching this channel on youtube. Very educational and if you fly for real, it could well save your life.

Great, my kind of flying!

What benefit do 32GB have over 16GB?

Detail?

Happy with MSFS 🙂

I am feeling unprepar3d...

My rig upgrade has been put on hold....RTX 2080 TI cards are scarce unless you want to pay extreme prices.

I wanted to run MSFS maxed out to enjoy the graphics, but I will have to see how far the GTX 1080 gets me.

Scare and extreme price? No they’re not, they’re still around the £1000 mark and they’re still freely available.

I'm glad others are feeling this too!

In between catching YT MSFS2020 content and trawling the forums for new info I'm playing chess against Windows 7 Pro. I'm determined to beat it (on Hard settings) before I remove it from my SSD to install Windows 10 in about 5 days time. . .in preparation for the New World.

Tricky times my fellows, good to know it's shared.

It's funny.  Someone once asked if the testers would feel jealous of the people flying for the first time on Aug 18, and he was ridiculed.

Now, I understand.  I'd love to see the faces of people seeing this sim from the controls for the first time.

Do us all a favor, would you?  Take some time after the first few hours to come and let us know your first impressions.  It may take a few hours to get used to the difference between MSFS and what you've been flying previously.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

I certainly will Hook!

I certainly felt no jealousy as such when Alphas and Betas went out. More, curiosity to see and digest what was being fed back to us mere mortals.

And you Hook, for example, have been exemploary in allowing us an insight in to the Beta without once compromising your NDA.  You should be highly commended for that and thanks.

My first flight will be in the Cessna and it'll be a right pattern circuit around my local airfield here on the south coast of England. I will post it here.

I haven't seen those prices available...but the 3000 series is right around the corner so I'll get what I need eventually.

I’ve got videos of the new edition running in the background at work. I’m not sure if it’s going to make my work days longer or shorter, but either way it should help the days go smoother.

Don't get caught by the boss! If he/she hears you going "Woooaahhh" and "Ahhhhaahahah" at watching a smooth TBM Takeoff from an airfield with stunning scenery and FPS - he/ she might wander over to see what you're looking at and assume it's the other stuff that people make similar sounds at on the internet.

Boss will think I just have NBA on in the background like last week.

nah, mine would most certainly roll her eyes back into her head in a sigh of relief (that I would finally be preoccupied long enough), and then quietly slink off to the bedroom and fire up her own beta version of MSFS.
