For those still not convinced by the clouds

Plain ugly, like moldy cauliflower. That might be the reason I will stick with P3D for the next little while.

THAT'S the reason you will stick to P3D? LMAO

Let him enjoy his cardboard cutouts.

Nope, still not impressed with the clouds. The coverage, fog, and mist effects look great though, but I'm not buying these clouds as being the best ever. However, because I have not experienced MSFS for myself (seeing a video does not qualify) it may be so immersive....those details don't jump out at you.

Old saying. "You can please some of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time".  I am a cloud expert.  Cannot wait to evaluate, and wondering if there are built-in cloud texture options like the aftermarket clouds I have enjoyed over the past few years from REX.

Why people gets so aggressive when someone’s dislikes something about MSFS? Can you understand that people have opinions and preferences? If even MS would pay you for defending MSFS, I could understand it.

I like the default MSFS clouds, but just like there are things that I’m not satisfied with, I can understand other ones are not with clouds. Also, there is place for improvement.

Who's getting aggressive? We are joking around at people aggressively coming in here to the MSFS forum to say they clouds are 512x512 FSX clouds and that they won't be leaving P3D over it.

Insecurity or immaturity. Oftentimes both. 🤪

I swear somebody clever could wedge in some video of flying through real clouds outside the window of a MSFS cockpit, and people would happily spend 5 or 6 pages talking about why they didn't look even remotely realistic..... 😺

They're a little bit 'mashed potato soft' compared to the real things at that range, but even so, it's way better than anything which has gone before in a mainstream sim.

I like the potato clouds because then I don't get so hungry when flying.

Might film something and do that for a laugh this weekend.

We need 3rd party weather rendering engine that can do variety of clouds  cirrus, lenticular, rotor and etc. Or may be Asobo will update it at some point of time.

There's no real third party in this space that will be able to do a worldwide air mass simulation visually and physically with acceptable frame rates, so that's out the window.

Fog is impressive.

But to say those clouds are convincing is pushing it.
