Sorry to be an word not allowed; for the UK is it 23:00 on 17th or 00:00 on the 18th?

Cheers,

Simon

Well if someone in the US gets to download it at 12.00 pm on the 17th (same as 00.00 on the 18th), and that is the same as me who lives in Norway (CET/UTC +2 summertime), then I would guess that we all will download at midnight LOCAL time. My british friends will download the sim 1 hour after me, and the US east coast 5 hours after that.

Just to confirm it is midnight local time ? - wherever you are in the world ?

Going to try it just after midnight - if nothing happens - go to bed - good sleep and try in the morning.

Only drawback is it will consume my after 7 am data allocation [not uncapped] and slower download speed. Ah well .. Pensioners have lots of time 😂

Note : I am in CAT [Central Africa] timezone

Following the same plan as you 🙂

Simon

All this checking of download times in different places when most of them end up being the same time when you take the timezone difference into account.😄

For what it's worth, MS Store says 18th, 00:00 for me (UK), rather than the 23:00 people like Chock are getting. But I am getting the Xbox App 'freebie' so maybe I'm not getting it an hour earlier because I haven't paid for it. or maybe MS have just cocked up the communication somewhere.🙃

Since it looks like taking the best part of 5 hours to download for me, as long as I start it at midnight, what's the rush? It'll hopefully be done by the time I can get to start it up.

Just installed Visual Studio 2015 with its automated design approach. 15 minutes auto loop because the installer couldn`t find an internet connection (Yes, because I am offline).

Creating a restore point (I have deactivated them), another endless loop, 10 minutes wait. So I decided to go online, it worked. Finally afterwards, I had to click skip every 2-3 minutes, because it complained there were missing installation files (I had downloaded it from the official site). Couldn`t there just be a repeat for next steps button?

In the end, everything worked right, only that I had to press skip like a monkey.

So I don`t know if it is a good idea to stay awake the whole night for installing Flight Simulator...

People in the US that I heard from are saying at midnight local time, so it does not "end up being the same time". Also, the count down channel on youtube is based on EST (eastern us time), and its 6 hours behind/after the time my ms store says I can download (00.00/12am on wednesday).
