August 16, 20205 yr On Tuesday, August 18th, the friendly skies will be filled with cries of anguish and anger, as eager simmers discover the reality of the sim they just bought. I suggest that everyone lower their expectation to avoid nervous breakdowns.
August 16, 20205 yr I've been watching so many streams and youtube videos that it's gonna be hard to surprise me. I've seen the good, the bad and the remarkable. It almost feels like I've spoilt myself the joy of discovery.

The guys coming into this hobby fresh out the box wanting to find there 4K houses in 60fps I think are the ones that will be surprised.

August 16, 20205 yr Well maybe so but those of us flying since the Sublogic days and my C-64 will know that this is a significant progression in this venerable series. What small disappointments are vitiated by the huge structural changes to this sim particularly of course the Bing incorporation. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb

But I think it will still be a great experience for you as well. Youtube just does not capture the feeling when you sit in front of it. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
August 16, 20205 yr And sitting in front of it doesn’t come close to sitting inside it. Come on VR 😉 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.

It's remarkable and won't take away from the experience of doing it yourself. Every small grass strip is different, after all. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! August 16, 20205 yr Hopefully for the most part people will like it and see the potential of this new sim. No doubt the scenery gawking will be next level, but otherwise I think people will quickly become bored with default planes and warmed over FSX ATC. Also depends a lot on how it performs on computers that are not latest and greatest and when addons and SDK with good developer tools support will appear. Barry Friedman
August 16, 20205 yr I have tried to avoid watching the streams and the youtube. just for the joy of finding out myself and experiencing. for the default part the sim looks really good compared for example to the default FSX back in the day. What we get now as default is superb. can't also wait for the add-ons free and payware start to roll in. edit: been flying on the MSFS sims since FS1 days and recently been flying on the X-Plane 11 when I bought a yoke. I think that those who are fresh, dont have such high expectations than simmers already. On those streams there are people who fly first time and they have been exited. Just my thoughts. 9900k@5GHz, 32GB@3200 RAM, Strix RTX 2080ti, VKB Gladiator mkii, VKB rudder pedals

Bob Hoover isn't my pilot, so my glass spilled during the aileron roll. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
August 16, 20205 yr If you need to rekindle your enthusiasm for MSFS, just pop in default P3D V5 and execute a few circuits...that should help you recoup your enthusiasm pretty quickly Matt King
