August 18, 20205 yr Anyone know where docs for MSFS 2020 might be found? I'm trying to find a detailed explanation of smart cameras vs free look, how to get into and move around in slew mode etc. Can't find a shred of documentation on any of it... August 18, 20205 yr Moderator There is none to find Bob! There may be some information in the SDK but I honestly haven't spent much time studying what information is there. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

August 18, 20205 yr There is no documentation Bob. and that's going to be a real killer for all the folks who are new to simming. I really don't understand what MS was thinking but, IMNSHO, they really screwed up on this one. April 24, 20224 yr To me this is a large short coming of MSFS 2020. There is no documentation anywhere. I have planes that I can't fly because I don't even know how to start them or find the different controls. Everything I've learned about this sim is what I have learned from this forum and YouTube. When I first started it up a year or so ago, I didn't even know what to do when the world screen came up. I still don't know what POI is all about and how to access it. It took a while just to learn that it meant points of interest. I tried the Training programs but got stopped a little way in when the moderator just disappeared. Never even finished the first lesson. Tried several times, still know success. Maybe I could learn something if this worked. Don't know how Discovery Flights work. I would like to fly the big jets like I used to do in FSX, but I have no clue. Very sad state of affairs. I would rather have this than something like Reno air races. So I'm stuck with my Cessna 172 and the Bonanza. All the other is useless to me. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive

Roy When the world map comes up if you can’t figure out you need to click on the sensibly named panels then flight sims might be a step too far for you at the moment! The 787 only comes with the Premium Deluxe version of MSFS so if you own the Premium Deluxe version, you can just pick the 787 to fly. You can also start the planes on the runway and all the engines are automatically started for you, you don't need to figure out how to start them. Or you can always press Ctrl-E and MSFS will start all the engines and systems for you. Another airliner is the FBW A320 which you can download for free for MSFS. Also, if you know how to use Discord, you can ask questions in the official MSFS Discord channel, and for the FBW A320, they also have a Discord channel. Discord is great if you want to get help. There is no guarantee anybody will answer your question in Discord, but a lot of people do answer your questions in Discord. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
