Well LM...

Recommended Posts

Looks like you still got time to kick MS in the nads.   So let’s see what kind of great magic you can work.

You seem to have misunderstood who LM's target market is. Their market, obviously, is the not for entertainment market, not the gaming market.

I re-installed my P3D v5 which I was really enjoying the most out of any sim that I have flown in.  Looking forward to flying in it again.  I like the fact I can edit individual sound files and have a UI that makes sense.

This is a interesting view because:

  • LM forums are open to all audiences and their developers are there interacting with all audiences.
  • LM Developers have been attending well known flight sim shows and also acting as a sponsor on these. More over they walk around and interact once again with all the audiences of the flight sim community.
  • LM developers do not attend E3 and such events, true.. so perhaps their audience is not "Gamin" but the simulation audience instead.
  • LM developers do read AVSIM.. so once again it is an indication they do care about what users here think, experience, etc.

Hi Simbol!

Nice to see you guys back, I had a feeling like we were abandoned in the last days. Not to mention the total lack of feedback from LM devs at the LM forum...

I hope P3D V5 keeps growing, HF2 has been a great improvement but still many graphic artifacts and effects issues are around which are killing the immersion.

Do you have any news on how the development of V5.1 is doing? if there is any...

I have both simulators but in MSFS I can’t undock windows, don’t have a good airliner to fly. So staying at P3D.

I only miss in the Beta atmos more cloud layers.

I still have V5 and using it still, also was a Alpha insider and now have the retail Deluxe version, but will still be doing a lot of flying in V5, i think MS have shown how not to release a sim, they made a rode for their own back over marketed and rushed release.

Abandoned by who? me? I am always around.. I have been just a bit busy with some flight sim projects and personal projects at home.. also, remember currently it is the "kids" holiday season in UK.. so I am taking the opportunity to spend more time with my family.

I can't tell you anything about LM plans due to NDAs... but, what I can tell you is, when LM developers are not listening to their forums, it means their keyboards are very busy doing something else..

Regards,
Simbol

I understand.. I was not criticising, just pointing out what they actually do.. you know the saying.. action speaks more powerfully than words.

They will take a closer look to MSFS, of course.

But they also see the many quirks, smirk, and continue to focus on their development.

That’s right , in this end of the market nads are referred to as testicles 😄

I seriously doubt the LM team is as petty and engaged in the Flight Sim Wars as some of y'all think they are.

I have both and will continue to use both. One thing Lockheed Martin needs is better communication. Theirs sucks. Doing it well creates buzz for your product.

Not even just for marketing purposes... there's a ten page thread on a CTD that I get on most of my flights that they haven't responded to. It's extremely frustrating to receive such little communication from them if you're an end users and not a developer or in their beta pool.
