August 19, 20205 yr You can see a few different ways but the easiest would be go to Steam , click flight simulator , then Community Hub , Large Green In-Game , just as I type this 36k ppl online i7-8600k @ 3.70 GHz 16.0 GB Ram OS Win 10-64 bit Geforce GTX 1070
August 19, 20205 yr Well there's something going on with the guys specs/settings. I rolled back my drivers last night and this is the performance I'm getting on ultra settings flying out of London City which is similar to the performance I got during alpha testing.

I am not saying the numbers are great, nor trying to talk anything away, the numbers clearly could be better. However, I am saying the conclusion they draw from those numbers in that article, is incorrect because their analysis is flawed. So further conclusions based on those initial erroneous conclusions, becomes absolute nonsense. And putting it that way is being polite, personally I'd call their conclusions a load of absolute ******** (starts with a B and rhymes with frolics). This is why, if you look on my original comment, you'll note that I did not dismiss everything in the article, pointing out that some of it is interesting. Which it is, providing you know how to interpret what it may and may not indicate, and stop at that point. As opposed to what the writers of that article have done, by pulling further assumptions out of their @rse based on wild guesses, then writing an article about it and, in the process, making themselves look like ***** (rhymes with cats and starts with a T). You do see that the entire video is plagued by microstutters? August 19, 20205 yr absolutelly wrong topic statement, there are no problems, you just need for everything on Ultra an Ultra PC. in german language its called "Flight Simulator im Test: Über den Wolken kann der PC nicht schnell genug sein" Flight Simulator under test: Above the clouds the PC cannot be fast enough next section: "Unglaublich, wie gut das aussieht" "Amazing how good that looks" just get an Ultra PC and stop whining like a girl!
August 19, 20205 yr and this is Default on 2nd day release , Ooooooo baby this going to be a good year i7-8600k @ 3.70 GHz 16.0 GB Ram OS Win 10-64 bit Geforce GTX 1070

Basically, it's FSX tech - CPU bottlenecked, bad GPU usage, wildly varying loads depending on plane. Asobos descision to go with DX11, what a fail. Up to 74% FPS loss by plane - good night PMDG. Good to see that questions and critique are a bit more welcome. A couple of days back, just before release, I also posted a question about a similar concern and also referenced FSX tech and the flight model, albeit not based on any study. Some 20+ posts in just a few minutes bashing me to the ends of the earth. Maybe this is par for newbies or unknowns to be greeted like this. But not very helpful. The thread was closed and my post labeled as "Demonstrably False". Not sure how a question can be false. I always thought questions would be welcomed. But that may be a generational thing?? In this case, at least the discussion is measured. Progress.

The recording has added microstutters but I don't notice the stutters when flying. Keep in mind I'm over London with overcast weather with multiple layers of cloud and I'm on ultra settings so if there is a stutter here or there it's still impressive performance. If I flew this scenario in P3D V5 and I bet I would be able to squeeze out 15fps and I get a CTD.
