Live Weather Inaccurate / not working

Featured Replies

It’s funny how every feature that’s not working perfectly is considered a “core feature”.

it seems to work very well here. i get fantastic weather and its right on the dot.

Did you check if the weather conditions written in the metar (temperature, wind, pressure, clouds) were the same in the simulator?

How exactly do you check current weather conditions, while within the simulation?!

🙂

I have an application in my mobile phone which is called AeroWeather. I can check all the real-life metars and Tafs worldwide. In all the tests I've made the metars and the Tafs were totally different from what was shown inside the simulator

Ah okay - so you don't have any actual data from within the sim?
It would be nice to have an ability of viewing this data inside the simulation somehow.

The only way I found to have the data within the sim are the ATIS of the airport you're at. They obviously are wrong as well ...

Weather engine is not a core feature ?

MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320,  Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

Would be nice with weather reports on the Globe for all favorit airports at least

Its very cool that you can see for instance clouds or Precipitation on the globe as well in real time

Last night the sky was clear in real life where I live. Loaded up Flight Sim and it was cloudy.

To all people getting a clear sky when trying to fly with live weather: Select one of the preset wether schemes from the weather menu and the go back to live weather. after doing so (sometimes I have to do that a couple of times) live weather seems to load correctly. Once it's loaded it is absolutely stunning.

i just looked out of the window, good enuf for me. it was exactly right portrayed.

I get accurate clouds i think, but the winds are constantly variable at 1-2 knots. Been flying up high and down load in eastern parts of central africa today. On my way to see giraffes and elephants 🙂

Not good enough for me. Metar dictates the weather condition in an airfield and I don't know how Asobo forgot about this.

I flew Dublin to Manchester today with TBM.
At least i had winds. 61kt/191degrees at FL180.
