What if you're a 'simmer' and a 'gamer'? Would it only be of half interest to you, or what?

I've got loads of games and loads of sims. They're not mutually exclusive; and anyway, it's not compulsory to fly your toy sim aeroplane with a deadpan serious expression on your face all the time whilst wearing some shoulder boards on your shirt. Unless you are one of those Kool-Aid drinking types who think the PMDG 737 is the Ark of the Covenant.

who let the P3D and XP11 word not allowed out of their cage ?

Actually I think one of the things that makes a sim a sim are “it’s not a sim, it’s a game” threads.  Every sim I’ve ever used has had those, and yet when you go over to the forums for DOOM nobody is talking about whether that is a game or a sim.

if it’s even a question, it is a sim.

Aaah, but what if this theory is in fact true? If that's the case, then even the real Boeing 737, is a simulation, and you're not all really here. But if you are all really here, then what are you all doing in my house, you weirdos!

As released it is an insult to Flight Gear to call it a simulator. 

They rushed to get it out the door and like spoiled milk it stinks.

Considering it costs you about fifty quid to buy an add-on sim of the G1000 for FSX or P3D, it should hardly come as a surprise to find that the one included in the default aeroplanes in a sim which costs about the same as that, yet has the entire world simulated, plus dozens of aeroplanes, is not going to also include a full-on replication of that avionics suite as well.

In the meantime, just back your flight controller sensitivities off a bit and enjoy it. For 60 quid, or 1 quid if you are gamepassing it, or 109 quid if you bought the super-duper version, it's undeniably one of the most fun things to have happened in Flight Simming since 2006.

Sensible and true,fully agree I certainly didn't expect that

Something that keeps confusing me.

I went with gamepass and got the standard edition for $1

Later on in the marketplace I saw that for an additional $89 I could get the premium deluxe edition.

This means that for a total of $90 I have the addition with all of the add-ons, Etc.

While I do like Steam, I'm not sure what the attraction is of paying the full $120.

Having interjected with that, please don't mind me, and continue with this fascinating conversation about FSX planes being better than msfs.

But then you do have to perpetually have a gamepass subscription. Not a bad thing actually as they have some other great titles on there. But some people don't like that.

If all that you flew were the default planes in FSX, then you are a gamer.  I'm anxiously waiting for some study level aircraft for MSFS.  Until then, I in love with that Cessna 152, and of course, the beautiful scenery which is outstanding.

If I was doing the $1 version with gamepass, I believe that's correct. But once I paid the $90, it then became listed as an owned item in the Microsoft store?
