Perhaps Nvidia will pay more attention with their drivers?

It generated at least 3800 USD from my friends PC build last week.

Release is very well timed for the introduction of the new AMD/Nvidia graphics cards as well as the new HP/Microsoft VR headset....... Not to mention the rumored new power supply's necessary to use the new Nvidia cards....... 🤑

Yep, I ordered a Thrustmaster Warthog with a 2 month backlog but got a 17% discount and free shipping and it was still almost $500.  I shoulda bought it during Alpha.  Be alert (we always need more lerts).  I will have a lightly used Saitek X52 Pro set for sale the day after arrival (only used on Sunday mornings while waiting to go to church.) Price negotiable and you pay shipping.

Plan on getting a 3090 as soon as available for purchase. $1400 but 24Gb vram.

I'm using a 1070 8gb with fantastic results. I dont see a need to invest that kind of money. Will save it for add ons. I believe the 10700K at 5.2 ghz is doing the hauling.

I bought the TWCS throttle as a stop gap before VKB releases their throttle hopefully sometime this decade. I will also be likely buying the Crosswind rudder pedals. I'm surprised MS is not trying to get a cut of hardware sales through some licensing/endorsement deal. Or maybe they are on the backend.

From what I've found (or not found actually) is that every store I've looked at is "Out of Stock"... So yeah, MSFS is generating a lot of new hardware sales!

Yes, I am not sure it needs the capability of a 3090; I also have it running well on a 6700K and 1080, but only at high settings at at 2K. But once the new cards are out and we know a little more I will buy a new rig and maybe new controllers, really interested in the Honeycomb ones. So all in all that will add a few thousand dollars to the total -- my 0.00000115 percent of the 2.6 billion!

So it'll generate probably another $3000 from me too, once the 3080 is out I'll start making a new PC for MSFS, mostly for the VR with Reverb G2.

Some of you are sleeping on VKB and Virpil products. Well known and loved in the combat sim world.

Same here with the 1070. After enabling hyperthreading, I too am getting fantastic results. I don't really know how the sim could look much better!
