Explosion of MSFS content on YouTube!

Featured Replies

Wonder how many of these influencers will be doing reviews of PMDGs first release .....

Hopefully we'll soon be back to the Usual Suspects....  Q8, Aussie etc etc.

TBH I can't find anything on YT anymore. It's like a bombs hit it... and not in a good way.

'Pretty lady' does "unboxing of MSFS and Honeycomb yoke". Knows nothing of flightsim... clearly sent this stuff.... a million views, by Day Two

I'm saying nothing.🥴

Sex sells, nothing new.

I'm back to only watching guns, cars and trucks channels on youtube, now that I can play the sim myself.

You can probably just listen to a country and western song to get that all in one go. 🤣

It's the second time i've seen you spouting this, you really have a thing for singling out this female!

Last time you told all of these people to leave you alone, fine, don't watch them, that is your choice. But because these people are new to the hobby you seem to not want them. If no new blood is injected into the hobby it dies, nobody is getting younger. Be careful what you wish for.

Be nice to the YouTuber and Twitch influencers, the future of the sim depends more on them than you would like.

They have a significant impact on sales, especially by newcomers to the flight sim genre. Asobo isn't stupid when they sent tons of HOTAS systems and review codes to these people, because everyone is worth their weight in gold.

So many videos!

This guy did a 8hr live stream, London to NY flight. Got hundreds of dollars as donation during the stream. Just WOW!

MSFS is truly a revolution!!

Wait. People watch others play games? And they give large donations to them during a pandemic/economic depression? I no longer understand the world I inhabit. I know it's just a conspiracy theory, but I'm starting to believe that the startup of the Large Hadron Collider caused Earth enter an alternate universe that has led directly to the events of 2020.

Most of these videos are completely useless, if you want to learn something. Typical Youtuber just takes off, engades autopilot and then it´s just "OMG look at the scenery". Nothing about, eg. How the procedures are, no Hand Flying techniques especially airliners, just goofing around. I´we been searching a good tutorial´s, but allmost every one is just take off engade autopilot and look the wing view. Few exeptions are Q8pilot, Frooglesim and Squrrel, their content is factual.

100% with you there, tutorials and even RW flight stuff I tend to watch, but to watch someone else "gaming" or "simming" just for sake of it?

Rather watch paint dry....

In a way I have to laugh at my own feelings on this, because I guess what goes around comes around.......

I remember years ago, my Uncle (who was caring for me at the time) had no idea how I could literally watch hours and hours of MTV. Even when I could get him to watch the occasional video, he was clueless, literally unable to see or comprehend the themes explored by what he was looking at, nor fathom the relationship between that and the music being played.

Her simply had none of the cultural context that made the videos and the channel relevant to me.

Now its my turn to stare numbly. 😋

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Watching game streams is fun if you pick the right channels and the right players. Some give fun running commentaries and tips , the chat is frantic and you can make new friends.

I find sports mind numbingly dull (soccer, football, baseball, F1 racing, nascar, golf) but many of my friends enjoy it. In the end both are spectator-type pastimes the difference being in a game stream you can interact more and then fire up the game on your own PC to get past that level you were stuck at - or even join in the online mayhem!

As for donations I have never done that but yes it can get crazy. I have seen streamers say their PC stopped working and inside of a week they've got the $2000 or $3000 for a new one. Theres people out there with money to burn. You see the donations in the chat window $5....$10....$5.....$500.....$20.....$600....its wild how much money the popular streamers can pull in.

At the top of the heap the pro players who make millions and are moving their parents out of little apartments into new houses and getting them new cars.

Airforceproud95 now on MFS....last video was quite entertaining!
