September 6, 20205 yr Lol this is going to go down well. I still have x-plane installed but have not fired it up since msfs came out. More interestingly I did a flight in msfs from Helsinki to Istanbul in the airbus and the route took me over this marshland like terrain near the sea. Lots of little river channels going through it. Even at 30000ft its nice looking at the terrain below and seeing things you did not know was there. If this was x-plane I would only have ortho for one tile at departure and one at arrival so this place, at the halfway point, would have been generic 70s wallpaper texture and i would have missed it. September 6, 20205 yr This thread can't end well.. No one cares.. I'm an avid 2020 supporter but this thread is bait for endless debate.. September 6, 20205 yr Author I care, and I don't care if you're an avid whatever. Only you can turn this thread bad in your own head. This is a thread expressing love for Asobo and the new sim... So don't neg it. This is about love. Thank you ASOBO - you've made my decade. Edited September 6, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

September 6, 20205 yr I am also of your opinion, the new flightsim is simply contemporary with the old one you can certainly continue to do everything, tho. But as soon as VR is available in MSFS, i will close the door behind me and say goodbye an cu in VR. Edited September 6, 20205 yr by Nedo68
September 6, 20205 yr In the end, we will stay with the simulator we are using for various reasons. In some cases it may be more than one sim. For me that will be P3DV5. I not saying it’s better or worse, but it suits me for the type of flying I do and the way I fly. There are people that still enjoy FSX, FS 2004, X-Plane, FS2002 and even FS98. Earlier, I was on another FS website and I noticed two things. First of all, there were more people combine viewing the FSX forum than there was viewing the MSFS and P3D forums. Second, there is still contend being uploaded for FS98 even though it’s over 22 years old. That’s all enjoy this great hobby and enjoy it whichever way we want without criticizing others and the sims they are using. John C. The black box thingy also has a push button activated coffee cup holder. John C.
September 6, 20205 yr Author Tonight I flew my beloved PMDG 777 in P3D. The noise of those GE's starting up is going to take a lot of beating. Just saying. Please don't think this Thread is trolling (take a look at my sig and post count), it's more about just taking stock of where we are and where we're going. Thanks Ray - for reminding us of that. I guess i've committed to the new MSFS - but it is getting a bit boring flying the 152. Edited September 6, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
September 6, 20205 yr Yep I feel the same with XP11 too. Biggest difference for me is the atmosphere / clouds and the orthos being everywhere instead of just at the few places I’ve downloaded them. Photogrammetry is pretty cool once you’re above 1000 ft as well. But some things still need work (mostly for me it’s taxiway naming and sign size - we don’t even have the ability to edit the names without remaking the entire airport). Weather is still broken until they provide their patch (hopefully by the end of September). But I’m also thrilled now to be flying with it on VATSIM! Such a cool experience to be able to do actual VFR flying now using buildings and landmarks as waypoints and references with my sectional!

This includes dozens of side by side screenshots and videos. This is just another thread looking to generate arguments and the same back and forth over and over and over and over and over.... I'm more interested in discussing your use of "SATA 1" and "SATA 4", or why you're still on Windows 7.....Although not by much, I think that might be more interesting. Oh no, no, no - definitely not an attempt to argue. I'm to old for that nonsense. It's just a sort of well, I've been using the new MSFS for the last two weeks or so and I just missed a complex aircraft like me old beloved PMDG777. I guess more of opine - I hope we'll have these one day and that things will be okay - somehow we'll reconcile complex addons with the new MSFS - as I'm sure we will. I'm on both Win 10 and Win 7 - as I plug/ un-plug/ swap the separate SATA Drives prior to Power On - if you get what I'm talking about. Edited September 6, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
