The 3080 with 20 GB VRAM for me.

3090 for me, it isn't all about FPS, but smoothness too.

Naah. Triple digit FPS will probably never be obtainable as I am at 3440x1440. However, the 3090 will surely give me more peace of mind compared to the 2080Ti. I simply can't stand low frame rates. People unironically believing you "cant see over 24 FPS" never fail to amuse me as it's as easy as breathing to see the difference between low and high frame rates. It is reminiscent of the raving lunatic trying to tell everyone that the sky is, in fact, pink and not blue. Impossible to take seriously.

However. That said; I'm biding my time at the moment. There are whispers of a 3080Ti as well.

This. All that matters is smooth and fluid especially in the critical phases of flight...

Make sure that you have a processor that really cooks to push this GPU.

Well, considering the fact that he’s running 1080p most likely means he would be CPU bottlenecked.....

even if he was running 150% render scaling, these cards are made for 4K, not 1080p or 2k.

some of you are as dense as a brick wall.

if you’re 1080ti gives you that kind of performance then that’s awesome, however, I highly doubt your card will give the same performance as a 3080 through all spectrums of resolutions and settings.

The 3090 will be great for a 4-8k resolution otherwise it is a questionable purchase.

I'm starting to get the feeling that even with a beast like the 3090, decent resolution triple monitor setups with playable framerates is pretty much off the table for Fs2020.  Playable as in 50fps+. 

30fps might be in reach but I can't play 30.  Feels like a really pretty powerpoint sideshow to me @30fps! Lol 

 

At 4K or above CPU will be less of a issue. If one is to believe these numbers from hardware canucks, at 4K the difference in FPS between 10900K and the ~3 yrs older 7700K is almost insignificant.
