Its still not working for me at all. Virus and threat protection are off, virus and firewall protection are completely off.

Where am I supposed to get this file from the user manual talks about?  2. Download the zip files or copy and paste the file into that folder. (Figure 1)

What zip files.  I was given no zip files, where do I find these files? rexwxforce_2020XXXX.zip

The only thing I can get from the store is rexsetup.exe

Same problem here

Reading through the manual I stumbled over this:

That sounds like REX just takes the local METAR and injects that weather globally. And when moving from one METAR station to another the weather transitions globally to the weather of that METAR station. That would mean that the weather would look the same up to the horizon in each direction which would be a major step backwards from the default weather which is so immersive because you can see different weather in every direction up to 200 miles away.

I hope my conclusion is wrong.

If that is all they are doing then there is already a free mod that does the same; https://www.msfsaddon.com/2020/09/msfs2020-real-time-weather-v01.html

Weather Force not only has weather depiction but a very smooth automation engine that matches the real life WX changes. The program also has dynamic presets that you can use. It is not a just METAR matching software. It is the first WX engine for MSFS, with continued development.

Trying it right now. Surface wind doesn't seem generated correctly. P.S. Native live weather is off as per instructions

The problem seems only at the surface as airplane climb winds are correct. Also altimeter can't be set by default "B" key (nota big deal)

Picked some rime ice passing through cirrus. I don't know if REX controls icing but it look more realistic than default accumulation (unless I have a placebo LOL)

I guess it would be a tradeoff then.  For me, I've yet to see accurate weather, clouds, winds and altimeter anywhere in the USA.  Sometimes I seek out different weather based on METAR data so I'd be happy to get accurate data at the airports I land and depart from.

So, is it working? Can't tell by second pic.

MSFS

I have already bought it, but unfortunately I have to completely reinstall MSFS - CPU upgrade and registry cleanup, somehow I cleaned "too much".
how is the transition between the weather data ?

Well it certainly close to composite radar data in foreflight

Back to the barometer issue though... after you press “Start weather synthesis”, you say the the “B” key isn’t setting the correct pressure in the sim, I.e. it remains at 29.92?

Is ATIS reporting correct wind data, dew point and barometric pressure after the “Start weather synthesis” button is pressed?
