REX Weather Force 2020 for Microsoft's Flight Simulator

So does REX Weather Force inject different weather for different locations at the same time or only one weather globally at a time, which changes globally over time?

To give a specific example: If I take off from EDDM where the METAR reports clear skies and look south, will I see the thunderstorm that is reported by the METAR for LOWI at the same time?

It can do it only at one location at a time. This is because there are not "STATIONS" in the sim.  So we have to read the weather as you fly along.

Thanks REX. It works perfectly, getting exactly what foreflight is showing and the local metars are identical to the sim in regards to cloud, temps, QNH and visibility, Just need some more stations, it`s a bit sparse downunder.

I appreciate if you start referring to facts. Please read back all your posts. Your first post on the thread was a valid question. After that, you have just not been helpful nor objective. Thanks

Frankly good bye, I will never bye anything off REX again. Do your home work and look up all my orders. Some from other vendors.

Thank you.... I'm sorry but this is a step backwards, totally obliterating the fantastic advances Asobo made with weather. 🤦‍♂️

I've been using REX since Essentials (2012) and their greatest strength has always been textures. I highly recommend SkForce 3D for texture, cloud, and Cloud structures for P3D but, like countless other customers, I've had to rely on Hi-Fi (ASP) for weather generator.

I'd have to wait to see what ASOBO improves with SP3 and still wonder why Hi-Fi is not supporting MSFS?

Tell you what, read mine first, you love nothing more than glossy over things.

"MSFS: We have received tremendous support and encouragement from the community to create an Active Sky for MSFS weather engine and we really appreciate all the feedback! While Asobo and MS have done an incredible job with the new weather system, it has clearly stoked the demand and need for Active Sky features for more advanced weather experiences. We're looking at this as a future potential platform to develop on, but currently, we are not aware of any weather extensibility and we are not sure at this time what the timeline is or what the eventual possibilities will be. We have prepared foundational components for an eventual MSFS Active Sky weather engine, and as soon as we have the capability to interface with MSFS, we certainly will. We are anxiously awaiting more news and updates to the MSFS roadmap along with planned SDK improvements and will provide further updates when we can."

That's a clear drawback of course. The default live weather obviously is able to spawn in different weather for different locations at the same time. Probably needs an update to the SDK to enable 3PD to do the same.

Nevertheless I appreciate your efforts and still might get Weather Force as soon as you introduce historic weather.

Keep it up!

How do we get rid of retarded rainbows and what happened to the water sheet of glass - was not like that before last update - you now have to force a lot of wind to see non glass waters  - UGLY 🙂

Found some rain and REX did not disappoint flew out then it cleared as expected then got the rainbow which I never saw in msfs version of weather - I want that gone lol

Well done REX team digging it seems be visually different in a good way - need to explore more
