Disabling UAC as recommended in the manual for this software is a really bad security practice.

Never in my life had that enabled. Never had an issue since Windows started using it.

Now who exactly, is pulling the wool over our eyes.  A MANUAL for a MSFS product???? Never heard of such a thing.

I have owned all of REX's products for one or the other simulator, but I'm a bit skeptical how it's possible to release a weather engine within a month of releas of MSFS, although I appreciate the speed with which they make a product available.

Secondly, I looked at the manual: 13 pages devoted to installation, being asked to turn off UAC and anti-virus, registration codes - I thought with the release of the market place we were over that sort of ancient way of doing things.

Will it fix the unlimited visibility issue plaguing the sim ? Right now the live weather doesn't generate enough haze and has no effect on aerosol density. Because of this, we have infinite visibility all the time. Also there is no slider to adjust the visibility in the sim There are multiple threads on this on the official forum.

On the one hand, I'm pleased to see that REX have been able to improve upon the default weather system. They're a good developer, they deserve continued success, and I'm confident that this product will provide them with that. On the other hand, I'm really disappointed that Asobo & Meteoblue were unable to deliver on their promise of Live Weather and that I'm going to have to open my wallet again!
