LOL OK so the Japan update has not really landed. 

For the first time I had thunder and lightning in Live Weather.

That's not what dumbing down means.

 

Also so lightning does work now in live weather, it also shows up in places that don't make much sense, like where there is very little cloud cover.

Yeah I am working atm so I couldn't test it myself but I am glad it seems like it still works though arguably not as well as before maybe but would need to see some comparison shots. But yeah I will survive just fine lol

Not sure if you are choosing to ignore the patch notes because you want photogrammetry so badly, but it even states the architecture in the area has been adapted better to suit that part of the world.

What else  did you noticed on this new update that indicates any dumping down ??? 

One fingers crossed moment... They seem to have fixed the download looping issue, so far I have grabbed 1.24 of the 7.39Gb update and it hasn't dropped yet, albeit none of the files appear to be the size of the FS package files from the base install which were nearly 2Gb each.

Yep first of the larger files coming and it's holding at a steady 8MB/s - way to go Asobo!

Thanks for the fixes and updates downloading now .

Mine is showing 24.47GIB downloaded of 8.78GiB???  Also going really sloooooooow towards the end "decompressing"..........

completely missed that part my guy, apologies. but even still, just jump onto bing, thats their data source for any 3D map info. its not published there yet so we won't see it in sim. I'm sure it will make its way across soon enough.
