I fear they have disabled Flybywires updates. blank screens here as well, removed the Flyby wire file from Community screens light up on the basic asobo version. I even downloaded a new version 3 file and installed it, same blank screens.

If asobo have done this , it's pretty poor imo. On the positive side the basic plane now flys better, with more control over elevator etc.

Why is that?  Asobo have updated the base sim. If this unofficial mod used something in the base sim that was changed, then it is up to the modders to adapt the mod, not the other way around!

can someone please explain to this slow poke where I need to go to download the patch and then download the Japan DLC for free?

When I start the sim, it says I have to download the patch and it takes me to a web page where I am not finding a link to the patch

Why do they make this so hard? sheesh!

I originally bought it from MS webpage

Military operations, and it's still censored, MSFS only has the civilian half modelled.

I remember when I was in the army: a pilot's worst fear was a military airport being in a flight simulator, that's what sinks our ships they said.

It happened with the last patch too, and it will happen with every future patch that touches the same files the A320x addon touches.

You need to wait for the addon makers to get the patch, see what has changed, and update accordingly.

It's impossible for Asobo to not break addons when they update the sim, and they can't take every single addon into account when they do updates that would also be impossible.

Is the 'web page' the Microsoft Store? It should be.

If so, somewhere on that page will be a 'play' icon that you need to press to start the download.

I flew out of Orbx' 12S airport, and first flight was bad LOD and no water in the river. When I loaded up the 2nd flight from the same place, LOD was good, mountain tops looked sharp both mesh and texture, and the water had returned to the rivers. A bit weird.

So if I want live weather I’ll have to deal with really bad LOD, but if I want good LOD I can’t have live weather because you only get live weather on the first flight without having to restart...

It mentioned fixing river elevation issues like Missouri river but its still a all messed up. The previous fix I downloaded doesn't seem to work either. Can anyone else confirm?

I flew to the convergence of the Missouri and Mississippi North of St. Louis where there used to be a wall and it's fixed there.

It sounds like you bought from the Microsoft Store, which means you need to open the Store app on your computer. Check Downloads & Updates. There should be an update to 1.9.3.0. Then open the game. There'll be a content update. Install that. Then check the Marketplace for the Japan DLC.

If it's completed, load up MSFS again. That will then automatically update the main files.

Not mentioned in the notes, the ones in Northern Canada weren't fixed either.
