September 29, 20205 yr Good day. Nice improvement with the new patch. Airplanes fly much better and now flight controls can be adjusted. If anybody knows, how can I get to the menu and adjust "Aircraft gyroscopic stability can now be set in our SDK toolset" Step by step will help a lot. Thank you! 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

I am no expert on such things so I cannot comment to the accuracy of it but it is in the top 10 but didn't get a mention this time around. That's worrying, yes. I was surprised the sim was released without addressing the turboprop logic, which was mentioned throughout the Alpha testing. It should still be a priority, because it could have a major impact on upcoming 3rd party payware turboprop aircraft (see below). 7 minutes ago, ChaoticBeauty said: From what I could infer in the latest development update, the core simulation will be improved with the Simulation Updates every 2-3 months. Maybe the first one will be in October (with paid DLC following in November). If they're going to make updates that affect nearly the entire aircraft roster perhaps the longer development cycles are more suitable for this case, The problem with longer updates for core simulation features -- and I'd certainly put turboprop logic in this category -- is the impact on 3rd party devs. Do they hold off their upcoming turboprop aircraft models until Asobo fixes how the engines are modeled internally? Or do they develop their own hacks to fix this engine type so they can rush the product to market. Which means every developer will have their own slightly different take on it. And then there may be incompatibility issues if Asobo later fixes the turboprops in the sim. P.S.The patch updated smoothly here. I'm not seeing any AA problems, but then I'm running FXAA where any issues may not arise. Not sure about LOD yet, have to do some test flights later. September 29, 20205 yr My feelings and I am not a developer at all would be use a work around or do your own logic if the sim improves something along the way they can adjust with their own patches.

With fixes rolled up on bigger patches on a schedule, it could be easier for Asobo to communicate their plans to the developers (and from the looks of it they do). Actually I think this could be why we aren't seeing many aircraft yet, after all the 737NG3 was delayed recently.

Hopefully the first Simulation Update will not disappoint. Exactly that. Everyone that knows me can confirm that I'm very positive about the sim, but I'd have hoped for a little more progress in terms of basic improvements. I've also thought about it probably being part of the sim update. Let's hope so. But the sim update could very well also be the VR launch. Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
September 29, 20205 yr Do I really have to clear out the community folder? I am downloading Japan to install without touching the community. I have the A320 patch in it and a whol;e bunch of addons and freeware's and liveries. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
September 29, 20205 yr The water effects are MUCH better after the patch. I'm flying the C172 from Crete to Rhodes and just enjoying watching the waves breaking below in a 28kts wind.
September 29, 20205 yr New bug with this fix. Garmin 530 now shows VOR distance and identifies VOR correctly, but: - The distance rounds to the nearest 1 nm, and it doesn't show to the nearest 0.1 nm. - The radial box is messed up. It shows the net heading difference between the VOR and the airplane rather than the radial from the VOR...

It's outdated anyways it doesn't work properly with the current version. Edited September 29, 20205 yr by Tuskin38

In the FSElite roadmap the VR Update is a separate thing, but then the schedule seems to have been changed a little so who knows how it will be rolled out. Hopefully tomorrow's Q&A will make their update roadmap clearer.
