Throughout the environment, new countryside and pagoda-style architecture has been added, along with nearly two dozen custom landmarks & POIs that invite you to explore the area’s timeless World Heritage sites, towering neon skyscrapers, iconic bridges and sacred shrines. You have to download the Japan content update free from the marketplace, separate from the patch download.

September 29, 20205 yr Ok, so the LOD is basically super low even at 200, you can clearly see where it ends, it goes from buildings to blurry (and the blurry distance, as evidenced in the new opening screen of what I believe is mount Fuji, well thats another matter!). And the TAA, leaves a lot to be desired. Is there any way to force better AA?

Saying that, my flight that I just did from Shizuoka to Tokyo was so enjoyable with lightning for the first part that i've called the fuel truck and i'm gonna go back and try and chase it down!

It seems to match where it should be IRL, but the clouds aren't. So I got lightning coming out of nowhere sometimes. It could be there are no detectors in the vicinity, i've no idea really.
September 29, 20205 yr Simply WOW. To see Tokyo now, the ai was simply an insult to this city ! Edited September 29, 20205 yr by roi1862 MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28

I posted a suggestion earlier, which is to go to NVIDIA control panel, select AA mode as "override application setting", apply FXAA and 8x anti-aliaising. This works better than TAA currently does, even though TAA used to do the job even better than that. It also works a heck of a lot better than the FXAA built into the sim, which is shocking. The other interesting thing about overriding the sim's AA is that I can now use 2K resolution without a performance hit, it seems...

Does it need to be off or does it just get override? Many thanks!

The setting in the sim looks like it's still on TAA so I haven't touched it (you'd think it would be greyed out), but it still overrides it.
