Patch 1.9.3.0

p.s. Gibraltar Landing challenge (an airport I fly in to as PAX many times a year - and by the way, it's a TOGA! - is much improved, visually). Plus, fly out of the 'zone' and the game doesn't end. Treat it as practise.

Either way, an impossible landing without rudders. 320 AP doesn't SEEM to work properly either. misleading, if you spend time trying to if go around.

On top of the VFR map bug reported, whenever I open it it lags massively. Always ran smooth as butter before.

People in other threads have suggested some of these issues (like over tall buildings) are related to the Japan scenery install rather than the generic patch.

It might be useful when people report whether certain issues are present or not if they also indicate whether they just installed the patch or did Japan as well.

There maybe something to this, I patched my install, but did not download Japan and I’m not having this issue...

None of my graphics settings changed at all. I made screen caps of all of them before the patch, and rechecked them immediately afterwards.

What are your system specs? Maybe it's only changing the LOD setting for systems It thinks need a frame rate boost? I know my LOD setting was definitely changed from where I set it.

4790K CPU, OC to 4.2GHz, 1080Ti GPU, 32MB RAM.

After the last patch, (patch 2), which introduced improved CPU threading optimization, I was able to crank my settings quite a bit higher than in the release version. I am running LOD at 170, many settings at ultra, with the rest on high. Frame rates are externally locked at 30 via NVCP, with in-game VSYNC off, and NVCP VYSNC set to 1/2 refresh rate. I use a 60Hz 4K monitor.

All my settings after the patch were unchanged from prior to the patch.

I did a two-hour flight in the TBM post-patch and no autopilot issues at all. I don’t use time compression which always runs the risk of causing unstable behavior in any sim.

Thanks for letting me know.  I will try the update and hope for the best and no 'dolphin effect'

Random five story buildings in the desert just by KMHV.  Totally wrong.

Back in the day, when I worked in IT, we used to have a small group called Change Management. Among other things, it managed the Regression Testing exercises. These took place every time a new change was ready to be implemented. Because of the complex interrelationships between many systems, Regression Testing made sure that an unrelated area wasn't inadvertently screwed up. So all the teams for all the technical areas would send someone in on a Sunday morning and make sure that their (unchanged) system still worked as before. That way, we made sure that the new change did what it was supposed to do, and didn't mess anything else up.

Just saying.

Well, I'm happy. Just doing the Japan welcome sightseeing tour in the King, well w/ AP on since I need to some home office stuff but finally also ALT HOLD works flawless, did not kick in before the 1.9.x patch. Pulled up the map several times after being airborn and no CTD. ATC I enabled again but w/ voice to Windows offline, sounds actually pretty good. I have some mixed manual settings across all options, mostly low and some in the medium and, again, I am already now happy with the visuals. Now I just need that 1660s to arrive today...

Going to put my flying on hold until they fix the dolphing dance wobbling on the TBM930 when in autopilot flying.

Also noticed more stutters and fps drops than in the patch before.

Does anyone test these patches at Asobo ?

I want to revert back to the previous patch !!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately I have a backup copy of the version before the patch. People report that you can go past the update screen if you disable Internet connection, then you enable it when in the main menu to have the scenery streamed.

Hi!
I installed the patch and Japan last night.

Today I have had three sudden and inexplicable CTDs.

So... I'm affraid we'll have to wait to another patch!
