October 9, 20205 yr I think the dirt and finger prints add some sense to the windshield. Otherwise it will simply look as there is no windshield. MSFS2020, 24, Fenix A320, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5090 ,G.SKILL 64GB 6000MHz CL28
October 9, 20205 yr for some reason I'm intrigued. Are we saying there is dynamic finger smudges in this game? as in, they get worse over time? or do some of you need to clean your monitors? if true, I might file this under the Jeopardy category "Useless Sim Advances" next to terminal interior modeling, working cockpit vent fans, and whatever it was that guy was trying to do with the "Blue Marble" product. I would still be a little impressed tho.

October 9, 20205 yr I haven't seen the fingerprints and other marks getting worse. I just think you notice things more when you settle into the sim. For instance, for the first time last night I saw the trees swaying in the wind. I knew the grass could ripple a bit from videos I had seen, but I had not seen the trees swaying before. Must be the aviation equivalent of the rat rod trend. Engine hours/ prop hours have nothing to do with the age of the airframe. If a beaten up thirty year old C152 has recently gone in for a full engine overhaul then it might only have an hour or two on the Hobbs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_between_overhauls Edited October 9, 20205 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

The bug splats on the front windscreen appear to be about the same but there are definitely more fingerprints on the window glass beside me so Im wondering if there is or will be a way to wash the windshield? anyone know? anyone else notice this? I hope its not just my imagination. I think, that this thread is a completely wrong, because there isn't any similar function implemented in MSFS. Every smudges, fingerprints or scrapes on windows are fixed to glass and can't do increase or remove. But you have to understand, that their visibilty strictly depends on actual light condition, like sun direction and height. So in many situation it isn't visible at all, but in other situation it's a well visible. Edited October 9, 20205 yr by ludekbrno

October 9, 20205 yr Hey Guys...real life got needy yesterday. Anyway....here is where that setting is: Not sure how much may be placebo, but it "looks" like some of the dirt is gone on the 172 windscreen. Give it a shot and let us know if its just my old eyes playing tricks or its really doing something. October 9, 20205 yr Author Here's a few pics of my current side window and smudges. I'm very sure it didnt look like this when I first started flying. They are most noticeable when they catch the sun. I like it alot. Its one thing a number of people requested - dynamic dirt - a plane that gets dirtier over time. I keep looking for the Windex though. Does your C172 pilot side window look like this?: They can almost disappear at times: | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. I'm sure, that I did see this on my first flight of this plane.
