Update 5 also look disappointing I think they’re getting into a habit of underpromising now, so they don’t get chastised and eaten alive for underdelivering. Which I mean, is 100% understandable. Have you seen how toxic some flight sim forums can be?!
October 9, 20205 yr Very refreshing to see this kind of transparency. A welcomed change from the way this community has traditionally worked, and how many of the 3rd party add on developers still work. Maybe this example of transparency will end the “it will be ready when it’s ready and when we decide to tell you” attitude that so many add on devs have had for decades now. A320 autopilot now unusable after last patch. <snip> I feel like I've been had!😒 Strange, it worked pretty well flying me from Yakutz to Irkut including the ILS approach a few days ago. I did find a hiccup where it didn't seem to want to change altitude until I used VS twice each time but that's hardly unusable. Give people power to really test their personality.

I grew up in a family where virtually every male adult worked for John Deere Company, corporate. I did as well for a bit over ten years. Ingrained in my upbringing and in my work career is this: I personally hope that Asobo will come forward and refine each element they have held out until it follows along. We have not imagined that some day there will be a logbook. Asobo has put it out there and it is now what it is now. October 9, 20205 yr I understand the frustration that some folks have with not having a completely playable sim (I, myself have decided to take a break, because after the latest patch, I have been encountering too many crashes, and there are too many little annoyances that I wish to simply not deal with at the moment). But, let us be honest. Have Asobo given ANY of us the impression or attitude that they are doing us a favor by simply releasing a sim for us, or that they don't listen to us, or that they don't truly care about their product? Have they not modified the way they do things to bring themselves even closer to the wants and needs of the community that they so clearly are listening to? Have they given us ANY reason or indication that we should be "worried" about everything getting shuttered in a year or so? So, when I see posts where the comments sound like Asobo are mafiosos who have duped us and taken our money... I simply scratch my head and sigh. Perhaps I have become used to the Early Access model and realization that games (and even software, honestly) are rarely ever shipped nowadays completely "finished", and a process of constant iteration is the norm. But I tell you what... i will take an Asobo and what they are demonstrating over almost any other game developer I have ever had dealings with. Perhaps many of the folks who "can't deal with the current situation" should do what I am doing. Take a break and disconnect from it. Wait 3-6 months and come back to it when things are more far along than they are now. I, for one, have no doubt in my mind that if I am not getting my money's worth RIGHT NOW, I will, eventually, in the future get more than what I desire from the money I paid now. Perhaps deferred enjoyment is easier for me than others... but man, save the bickering for companies that truly deserve it. flightsim.to - map

The impression of transparency is good, although that didn't hold up in the Alpha test when so much was ignored. They released this as a full retail product. Those of us who spent money on it -- in my case $90 USD -- have a right to ask why it isn't better than it is right now. That's more money than I've ever paid for a flight sim or a AAA game as an initial release. The value proposition isn't looking that great right now, while we're waiting for patches for things recent patches have broken like the LOD issues, fixes for the AP, better GPS functionality, and while we're waiting for more aircraft to fly than what's in the default package. The scenery is fantastic when it's not glitching with LOD issues, but I want more than pretty scenery in a flight sim. Quote Perhaps I have become used to the Early Access model and realization that games (and even software, honestly) are rarely ever shipped nowadays completely "finished", and a process of constant iteration is the norm. I have plenty of experience buying Early Access games. You know what you're getting into. But let's remember that this was not marketed as an Early Access game! They would have been smarter to take that approach, in my opinion. I have not given up on it, I'm just sitting on the sidelines now to see how it develops. At least XP is way cheaper. But then there's only the Zibo. Although I hear the ini builds is quite nice these days 🙂 Edited October 10, 20205 yr by suncoastflyer P3Dv4 + XP11 MFS

GSX, Active Sky and the airports along with their region are another matter altogether. Edited October 10, 20205 yr by SamYeager Typo Give people power to really test their personality.
