October 12, 20205 yr Does anyone know of any apps/mods that will pause the sim at top of descent or a set distance from the destination airport? Thanks. October 15, 20205 yr not aware of any but I did not check flightsim.to recently. Just know from the official MSFS forums that there are some requests to get this implemented (including myself), but you may file a feature request via zendesk, too Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
October 15, 20205 yr Author Thanks, I’m hoping with all the other great things modders are doing someone will be able to figure this one out, it’s a huge help on longer flights where sitting in front of the computer the whole time would be frowned upon by my family! 🙂 Edited October 15, 20205 yr by regis9 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

October 15, 20205 yr Author Yeah, I keep saying pause at TOD but x distance away from the destination airport is even better (Lorby Time Mchine offers this for P3D). October 15, 20205 yr I have NOT tried it personally, but I believe smartCARS is fs2020 compatible: https://forums.tfdidesign.com/index.php?/blogs/entry/51-14aug20-msfs-2020-compatibility/ It is not free though.

December 30, 20205 yr I use smarcars, have development mode on and then check pause at TOD in SMARTCARS. It will pause sim, then I have to go to OPTIONS menus in the dev menu and unpause there. Works for now.I use smarcars for tracking my VA flights. Anthony Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHZ, 32 GB ram, win 11, gtx 4070 Super
December 30, 20205 yr Try FStarter, you can set a flight position anywhere and reuse later at any time.
