that was an odyssey!
On the first day like most of us i don't get one,
then found a forum where everyone could post live where there are some availible online.
In the evening then i caught one, it said it is in stock, after the purchase
the message unfortunately changed to not in stock.
One week later trying to buy one on ebay ended in a fraud.
(The public prosecutor's office is still being investigated, they found them at least)
Another week later i cancel the first one and buy one at another online retailer with the
hope to get one delivered soon.
Another week later through the help with the forum i actually manage to buy one online,
that went very fast, after about 5min the few cards were gone.
After the purchase I cancelled the other card 😉

All this hype foe a 3000 series card we can’t even get and just rumours on the 20gb  3080, nothing from nvidia. Hate to say it but I’m leaning towards AMD for the first time ever and I haven’t even seen their new cards yet. This whole nvidia thing has been a debacle.

Not sure what to believe because I’ve had 2 3090’s so far with the offer of a third.

And I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if nvidia had cancelled a 3080 20gb because it would be encroaching on the 3090 and would be too close for comfort.

According to the site there´s rumor that Nvida has cancelled the plans of releasing a 20 GB version of the 3080 card. I sure do hope it's just a rumor for i´ve realy putting my hope of a 20 GB version of the 3080. But if the rumor is true then i'll have no other option then to bite the bullet and get the 3090.

Need?  Sometimes. I run 4K with 4096 textures. There are times I run out of vram. And many others where I have to watch closely. In dx12 running out crashes the sim. In dx11 it causes stutters. It’s not that I need 20. It’s just that I need more than 11

Okay, just wondered. Devil's advocate.
