What does this do that the various other applications don't do?

Seems to me another example of Rube Goldberging a simple task.

I also track all my flights with this: An Excel spread sheet.

Had to look that up!  Probably the same as saying it's a bit 'Heath Robinson' in the UK.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I don’t want to be a conspiracy theorist but it also seems very handy that Orbx has a system to track all your flightsim movements.

Quite handy to exactly know what your customers doing all the time 😉

So is it your personal flight tracker or Orbx customer tracker?

Another priceless MSFS topic.

Post a new product that could be intresting.

Then its called Rube Goldberging / Heath Robinson for been a really nice design and looking programe, but hey an ecel sheet looks so good! why not just a pen and paper. ^^

Then it could be Orbx secretly tracking all of us.

Even if they were, so what?  Honestly, who cares if Orbx knows where you fly and what you fly?  If it helps them provide better products based on behavior, I'm all for it.

What are you talking about David?  I actually use it.  I was just confused by the Rube Goldberg reference, and stating it is probably the same as saying 'Heath Robinson' in the UK.  I didn't say I thought it was.

Please note the date of the thread. It's interesting to read how some simmers view these new add-ons. 😀

Yes, I think is has re-emerged due to flightsim.to having a screen splash on it yesterday.  I must admit, I had forgotten about it because it isn't critical, just a nice to have.
I like the interface and the 3-D track so you can look back at your climb / descend profiles afterwards, but I have no use for it really.

And besides all these childish shenanigans...Is there anyone who tried it and has an actual opinion about it?

It's early days but so far it's pretty decent, had trouble recently with it not logging a flight but that was probably due to the MS servers or something.

Overall I'm liking it, it's free and has plenty of room for growth so will only get better.
