November 12, 20205 yr Hi Guys, Had a nice flight last night.. Came to open the program today, clicked icon to run as administrator and all it keeps doing is pointing and opening the microsoft store.. This is so frustrtating...can it just not open on the icon...at present I have lost my game.. Dave
November 12, 20205 yr Same thing happened to me earlier in the week. It uninstalled itself on two separate computers. Was unable to reinstall just go to black screen and crash. Ended up buying on steam and that works. Something fishy with the ms store. Sean Green

Sign out and then back in to all. A related event happened to me a few days ago when Live Weather and Marketplace were grayed out. Needed to log out and back in to MSFS, Xbox App and MS Store and all was restored. I fear people do draconian things like uninstalling and reinstalling or God forbid, reinstalling Win 10! November 13, 20205 yr I am on GamePass and it happen to me as well. I'm just giving up on MSFS for now until things settle down a bit more. Also, I'll be unsubscribing to GamePass as well so I will be buying it later on on Steam. I like what I see but it still needs more time in the oven IMO.
April 15, 20215 yr The game uninstalled on me today and I lost my community folder as well including mods and payware aircraft. Did you figure out why this happened and how to recover the files?

September 4, 20214 yr My MSFS 2020 installation went missing today, just empty folder? I am fearing a virus but see that other peoples installations are going missing too. Charles.
September 4, 20214 yr This has happened to me as well. Did exhaustive virus scan: all clear. I had to re-install the whole 130+ GB from scratch. You will lose your custom camera views (and in my case my keyboard commands were screwy afterward as well). Took better part of a week to get the basics back. I am still cursing Microsoft. 😡 How the * than can happen is beyond me and not even remotely confidence inspiring. I enjoy MSFS immensely but if this happens again I will seriously consider turning my back on it.
