3 CTD in 2 days after update #7

Featured Replies

I know CTD is highly subjective but since the update I've had 3 CTD in 2 days and prior to the update I had a very stable sim.  First time using the TBM on short final into KATL (last night).  2 CTD over the Hudson in the Caravan flying the new US discovery flight right near Manhattan Island.

Anyone else?

Yes, when flying the 787 in the same airports as before the update (same graphic specs).

Yes also flying the new US discovery flight after about 20 minutes I CTD.  Also ATC read out Ronald Regan International Airport all in phonetics which I quess maybe a known bug but I don't normally use ATC.

Try deleting your rolling cache if enabled.

No mods at all, no CTDs before.  Crashing in discovery flight and once in normal flight also since the new patch.

150 hours into this sim and I have never had a CTD... until the East Coast discovery flight. I was able to re-fly it without CTD but there does seem to be some issue in that discovery flight. Others have reported it too, also never having had CTD’s before. I therefore suspect that there is something not entirely right along that route.

My CTD was well after passing Manhattan, just past the Delaware river mouth, well into the flight. Was at Alt 3500 on AP. Using WT G1000 mod.

Interesting....thanks for the replies everyone

the default TBM is my most stable and thus flown aircraft but I also saw some CTD w/ latest simupdate #7. After I deactivated live traffic things seem to be better. but I'll see whether that cured the issue

I just did the whole East Coast Discovery Flight, not a single stutter, smooth as a rail. The Caravan and TBM being my favorite planes. I don't usually bother with AP with either. Nor am I'm busy, just sightseeing with hands behind my head and leaning back, these two almost fly themselves! That is until going down the scenic corridor when I was using my 'panning' hat like crazy looking all around Brooklyn Bridge, Lady Liberty, didn't see King Kong.

Noticed airports like Trenton Brandywine, Fort McHenry. It was like revisiting Angel In The Whirlwind the wonderful positive biography of George Washington's military career.

Gorgeous flight!

p.s. I locked fps in at 30 with that Nvidia Experience thingy. Not very fast framerates on this budget system, but like I said 0 stutters, 0 problems and 29 to 30 frames all the way.

Same for me, never had a ctd before, after the patch ctd during East Coast discovery flight at 30 miles from arrival airport. I repeated the flight and didn't have any problem.

Second ctd at the end of first leg in the Alaska bush trip when, after the aircraft stopped, the end flight menu pop up and I clicked exit to main menu.

I had a few CTD's prior to this update, but now i am getting a ctd every flight. Tried clearing rolling cache, rolled back the drivers on my RX5700Xt, ran through the steps Zendesk advise. I had reinstalled everything including win 10 last weekend, and now it's even worse. No addons at all, not even liveries.... I either get some error with MSFS, or  Graphics driver time out error.

Now reinstalling the lot yet again !

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Did that whole east coast flight at about 2,500', no mods, no cache, and no CTDs since #7. Are there corrupted updates? Are the update files all verified during the process? Frustrating for those that get them.

After Update #6 I had a CTD every time MSFS started to load. I regularly image my system and MSFS drives, so after rolling back my system to before that update, then going through the update process again, no CTDs. That's what makes me think that corrupted updates might be the problem.

Same here already 3 CTD`s, since the new patch.

Everything was very solid with the previous version (even in dense areas with photogrammetry like Japan, i however haven`t flown outside the USA yet with the new update so that i still have to try.

Just had my first CTD

Oh well... This should get addressed in Update# 236...!
