November 26, 20205 yr Really frustrating on the a/p. I haven't returned to the sim since the update. Yes I love the improved prettiness but I paid for a flight simulator and ended up receiving a quasi-Google earth.
November 26, 20205 yr There has been talk of Aerosoft releasing their CRJ ‘before the holidays’. With Asobo having broken the AP on all sim aircraft, I wonder if that will affect the CRJ being released now..... With a bit of luck, it will affect the CRJ and Asobo will be under greater pressure from Aerosoft to undo their horrible ‘fix’ sooner than a whole month from now. November 26, 20205 yr I got this answer from MS after reporting this AP bug: Quote Support (Microsoft Flight Simulator) Nov 26, 2020, 16:33 GMT+1 Hi Ulf, This issue has been tracked in our internal bug tracker to be fixed in an upcoming patch. Please keep an eye on our development updates & Patch Notes in the next weeks. Kind regards, Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Team

November 26, 20205 yr I recorded some videos (YouTube may still be 'processing' these for HD viewing). I need to find some editing software so I can cut them down into bite sized chunks and string them into 1 video, so these are 'unlisted' for now. I also need to go into the MSFS video and update the descriptions with the times for each turn....they were so long.... 100kts in the stock G1000 C172 for each sim. Skip to the end-ish to see the LittleNavMap ground tracks. I did a 90 degree turn, 3x 180 degree turns (simulating a holding pattern) and a 45 degree turn with each aircraft. The XP11 AP slows down a couple degrees sooner and bit more aggressively than FSX, but the ground track still describes nice reasonable arcs AND there is a user-accessible AP tunables window provided in XP11 if I cared to tweak parameters. It sounds like a russian solution, "This gearbox is perfect, just need a hammer to change gear"

If the airplane is following a GPS course it seems to have very slow, but long course corrections too. And certainly, on the approach it impacts the Localizer capture and following the LOC. RNAV too. Exactly right. Asobo can't stop the wild gyrations without taming AP reactions down way too much. I have always thought the reason is that controller 'effectiveness' is set way way to high in all Asobo planes. By reducing all effectivnesses in flightcontrol.cfg files, my AP never ran so wildly all over the sky. The boss of Asobo (guy in middle of 3 in the 'conferences') says the effectiveness settings mirror real life but seem to sensitive because there is no feedback from feeling the force of gravity as the plane changes acceleration vector. I don't believe it. They are too high. They were not too high in FSX. By the way every single update erases my 3 changes in 25 flightmodel.cfg files. I just copy them all back over, takes about 10 minutes. Not fun. I reduce all 3 effectiveness: aileron, rudder, elevator. The last 2 needed more reduction than aileron. Steep reductions of 33 to 66 % in all default planes. All of them. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. November 26, 20205 yr I could live without Europe update, and without the other minor bugs and quirks. Asobo is one AP fix away from having produced the greatest consumer level simulation or game ever. But there is chance they never will get it fixed. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Sure....I set them to public....feel free to share....within the next day or so I will make an edited together version that tells the story better.
