December 7, 20205 yr Does anyone know a place where we can still have a nice tropical flight with green/light blue water with corals? I used to fly in The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, US Virgin Islands, where I could see that water, but Asobo removed them all with the USA update and the beautiful water is gone, replaced by dark blue water. I'd like to fly over tropical water, is there still any place in the world where they didn't remove it? Thanks. December 7, 20205 yr They actually removed it? Hopefully that was just a bug. Sorry I don't know where to go then. December 7, 20205 yr It's another unforgivable act by ASOBO studios. I'm starting to regret ever getting involved with this sim. All due to their destructive updates. MSFS
December 7, 20205 yr I understand that they have to redo all of the tropical water masks by hand. The likelihood that we will have tropical water anytime soon is slim, IMHO. That upsets me. Most don't care. As they removed the water masks from the few places that had them with the update I didn't even go there after the update. Probably they didn't add them there, but I will check again. Thanks. December 7, 20205 yr I used to remember the region around croatia and the caribbean having some of the most beautiful water when i used to fly in fs2004 (i now don't remember the name of the addon i used EDIT .. just looked it up.. Hats off to to the guys @ REX) but nonetheless i was hoping i would see even better output from MSFS2020 because their video had even better looking water. I cant express the disappointment flying Over Ocho Rios and Montego Bay and seeing nothing.. nada .. zilch in terms of tropical water. Just another of the failures of this sim so far. Same here, only a little bit a couple meters from the coast in certain places now. It was much better before. December 7, 20205 yr It unfortunate but I fire up FSX when I’m cruising tropics. I can only hope MSFS can one day make water as nice as they did with land textures. Bora Bora from FSX (payware scenery though)
December 7, 20205 yr Not just that the tropical water is missing, but they damaged the islands with their terrain update. It looks nothing like the videos they posted and over time the sim has gotten worse. MSFS
