Calling all Canadians: decision for my next Canadian airport

Fssimstudios is planning CYHZ.  CYYT and CYHZ are available through Simaddons.  The two that would truly have no competition are CYYJ and CYQB.  FYI.

CYYJ is being done by Fsimstudios as well but its a long way off. They're also doing Halifax. Simaddons has already done YYT and St John NB and YWG.

Ouch, that doesn't leave a lot of options lol... Are you sure about CYYJ? Where did you see that they are doing that? It's a tough decision as I'm just one guy and sinking a lot of time to produce something only to find that it's already done would be a huge disappointment...

I think you should ask FSimStudios.  From their Facebook page, CYVR is their first priority for MSFS.  And then they mentioned Halifax next on their Facebook page because people were asking about that.  And on their website, they have Edmonton and Calgary international to do, which they haven't ported over to MSFS.  At the fastest, CYYJ could be at least 3 or 4 months away, if it is even in their list.  Best is to ask them directly to find out.  For all we know, CYYJ could be 1 year away, given everything that FSimStudio wants to do for MSFS - CYVR first, Halifax, Edmonton, and Calgary.

I emailed them, so we'll see.

I still say CYOO.

But CYHM Hamilton would be good to

Great job on your sceneries so far!

Here are some Canadian airport suggestions that might be interesting that I haven’t seen mentioned here: CYXX: Abbotsford, CYQQ: Comox Valley, CYPR: Prince Rupert, CYXY: Whitehorse, CYZF: Yellowknife.  These could be a lot of fun to fly around.

Just a precision, CYQB was a scenery provided by QuebecFSX for FSX and it is actually reworked by QuebecFS2020 (Gilles Boly).

Thank you for this information. Wow, my options are very limited. I don't think I should compete with a good freeware, if it's coming soon. Looks like my best bet is CYOW, because it seems like nobody is working on that. I is available from Simaddons, but it's quite expensive, and not in MSFS Marketplace. I don't see any medium-sized (or large for that matter) airport in Canada that is not being worked on or available already.

I would also be interested in CYOW, Ottawa.  As an aside, I wish they would fix CYND, Gatineau. They have placed the rotating beacon light tower right smack dab in the middle of the the only runway (09/27). Not good unless you have a STOL aircraft.
