December 11, 20205 yr So will it be different development for PC and/or Xbox X/S? If any surely not much right? I know nothing about development! Don't the planes we have now in the PC, they will have on the Xbox X/S? "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ
December 11, 20205 yr I'm glad I didn't dump $3000+ on a new PC when I can get the Xbox for 1/3 of the price and run the sim in 4K and not worry about FPS.
December 11, 20205 yr Honeycomb have already announced their yoke and throttle system upgraded with the security chip required for Xbox. Thrustmaster has long had an Xbox version of their Hotas. Xbox also supports keyboard and mouse if the game supports it (Gears 5, Sea of Thieves and Call of Duty already do). All add-ons will be via Marketplace only but Deluxe version already there. If you already have a PC and ate running the Sim via Game Pass then no more expense for the game or anything that you have bought via Marketplace if you then have Game Pass Ultimate on Xbox. CJ

So if you have Game Pass Ultimate, which I am guessing most Xbox owners have, or a lot of them. Then you can play MSFS Standard on either PC or Xbox at no additional cost and IF you bought your addon's via the Marketplace they will work on both platforms? I had Ultimate already for my Xbox before MSFS was released and was able to download Standard for Free on my PC. CJ

CJ So you either have or are getting the new Xbox X or S model? So you will fly on PC and Xbox? Your maths are out a bit $449 is 1/6th of $3,000. Will play well an XBOX controller it`s already done for the Camera Views. Edited December 11, 20205 yr by G-RFRY Raymond Fry.
December 11, 20205 yr Commercial Member VERY good news as far as im concerned. Gonna get our niche hobby wide open to many new people. And ive been simming since FS98, but somehow this year couldnt be bothered to go get my hardware joysticks and controls from the basement. SO since launch day, ive been using the XBOX controller. It works surprisingly well actually.

Either way, it will be a lot of fun next Summer!! I have been walking around 'future' London in Watchdogs Legions on my Series X. Mind blowing detail especially as I worked there for years. Unless you want to build a cockpit with multiple screens and tablets then the Xbox Series X version will be the one to go for, I believe. CJ Edited December 11, 20205 yr by CJ1045
