The sim locked up after crashing King Air into water(bad IFR approach) and after clicking "return to main menu". Halfway through this, the sim locked up. Had to "end task" to get out.

Correct.  It's safe to assume anything that uses the default model will most likely break.  FBW is working on their own model also. 

No mod will  likely work until its updated by the dev...

Canada with snow looks awesome. Sim works fine.

Except I had a freeze up and CTD on approach to a freeware addon airport. And that's probably the addon airport's fault, not the sim.

According to the release notes attempting landings into frozen water is going to crash the sim. Was the water frozen or they just white lied it and crashing/landing into any water locks up the sim ? 

About mesh/LOD aberrations :

rebooting your PC does'nt solve the problems.

Theses ones has been detected in Canada, England and France by numerous people on various forums. A Zendesk ticket has been sumitted.

Don't use the mod (or any mod that fixes/updates base game planes) until it's updated.

The good news is that the “slow turning” problem when using autopilots in heading select mode has been fixed. Commanded turns and ILS intercepts are working great!

Huh that's kinda weird, their data provider is showing a lot of snow in upstate newyork

I flew out of MIlan for Lugano on a short flight. I don't think that the lake is frozen. It was IFR all the way into the water. Also the sim crashed after it was reloading into the main menu.

My goto aircraft after every update (whilst I wait for everything to catchup) is the TBM, its completely default except the avionics mod.  Flys like a dream and "touch wood" the last few updates hasn't broken the avionics.
