Tech in the UK (London, at least) is quite different. 99% of the time there's a significant emphasis on work life balance. In twelve years as an engineer here I've very, very rarely worked past 6pm. It's a fantastic industry nowadays. I've worked for six or so different companies and it's largely been the same across the board. That said, I think game development is rougher..But if you're adhering to proper agile practices there shouldn't be 'crunch times' really.

Whenever I've worked in London city centre (which is a fair bit), there were two ways you could go about it. You'd either finish at 4pm (ish) to be able to get away before the Tubes went mental, or you stay back or possibly have a swift beer after work before heading off at maybe 7.30pm when the rush on Tubes and Buses had finished. That was usually in Soho where the film industry was based, so it's mad busy near there at rush hour. Edited March 10, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

I need to get out of London because at 35 years old it's not so easy to keep the calories from said 4 pints off ....Are you down here often these days?

Not so much these days, especially with the lockdown. I used to be there all the time training people on film and special effects editing for the film industry, but it's only once in a blue moon these days. If you want to see a mad commuter running race, have a look at the concourse at Euston station at about 6.50pm on Friday, when everyone is stood there next to Boots waiting for the departure board to show which platform the first train back up to Manchester departs from. That's the first one to go up North after peak time, so it's much cheaper for a ticket. It's hilarious to see everyone scrambling for a seat on that thing and it's not a small train, it's one of those Pendolinos with maybe thirteen carriages so it can seat nearly a thousand passengers. March 10, 20215 yr Great! I can get the Arrow and enjoy my dinner now! Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. I've seen that one - absolute madness. I live next to Canary Wharf which is the same nonsense. An endless sea of suits, in which every single person thinks they're the most important person in London. It's quite the show

It looks hilarious, but it is annoying and gets old after the fifth time, so It took me about six attempts to get it in the air yesterday, and even then I only just managed it. In the meantime, what am I bid on my other discount code for the Just Flight Arrow, since I got two of them from having bought the previous one twice? 🤣 That was a joke by the way in case you think otherwise, so don't really ask me for that code. Does the Carenado one's yoke turn when you turn your controller? Saw a previ3ew video of it where it didn't appear to ever turn when the ailerons were used. [sarcasm] Aside from that, how long until Carenado fixes it's problems? Will it be like the Mooney where it takes a month or more for something to get fixed and available in the Marketplace and then when they move on to something else just leave things as is?[/sarcasm] James
