Flight1 GTN update

Featured Replies

Does anybody know if Flight1 have updated their GTN product line? At the beginning of this year, Garmin updated the GTN trainer to v6.70, so now I'm unable to use the GTN in any plane because Flight1 cannot identify the installation path even if I manually select it.

I know it doesn't help but there is an alternative that is updated regularly and is compatible with the latest Trainer (and IIRC, most previous Trainers)

yeah I know, Flight1 lack of support. I talked about this in their forum and nobody seems to be alive in there.

GTN750 ver 2.2 ......      Support for the latest Aviation PC Trainer V2.7.1.0

Apparently Flight1 has no plans to update there GTN750/650 to work with the updated Garmin trainer ver 3.0.

Would love to see Flight1 make a comeback in MSFS with a fresh aircraft add-on!

So would I, but their current support posture would indicate otherwise..  😉

Oh?  I haven't read their forums in a while.  Also noticed this is the P3D forum (oops was on mobile).  I don't want to trigger any of my former P3D friends haha!

I finally got around to updating P3D V4.5 to 5.1, and wanted to update My Flight 1 GTN750 and 650. When I downloaded the latest version, and attempted to install it, my Microsoft defender labeled one of the components as a dangerous Trojan. F1 Support recommended I turn off my virus checker and then try to update. I declined.

I have been downloading/installing a ton of software on my system for 2+ years now, never had this issue.

Looks like it is time to try Reality XP brand, $35 is an attractive price, but I need to get both the 750 and 650 for my A2A planes!

With the current sale, the first GTN you buy is 30% off, if you also buy a second GTN you get 50% off the second one. So about $60 for the RealityXP GTN 750/650 bundle -- an overall saving of 40%. Sale ends 31Jan2021.

I just wish the rxp would couple vnav to the autopilot as the f1 will allow.

That is actually an unrealistic feature, and one that gets in the way of proper LPV approaches... so personally,  I prefer the RXP implementation.
