The switch over between VNAV to LPV should be seamless and automatic. My Mooney is fitted with an older KFC150 autopilot so I have to follow VNAV cues manually by setting vertical speed but will transition into an LNAV+V seamlessly once APP mode is armed. F1 Support recommended I turn off my virus checker and then try to update. I declined. I have been downloading/installing a ton of software on my system for 2+ years now, never had this issue. Looks like it is time to try Reality XP brand, $35 is an attractive price, but I need to get both the 750 and 650 for my A2A planes! Bill Clark Since the RXP gauge uses the same Flight1 e-commerce wrapper as the Flight1 branded GTN, you're almost certain to have the same issue there. The Flight1 wrapper uses Themida encryption software to prevent theft from hacking into the e-commerce package...some malicious software programmers also use Themida to hide their malicious code. Some virus checkers flag it because they are unable to see what's behind the encryption. It would very much depend on the autopilot. A Lear 45 or CE560 Excel with the PRIMUS 1000 autopilot will have not problem with coupled enroute VNAV or approach VNAV using LPV or LNAV/VNAV line of minima. i am the person that asked the question of F1 about the GTN, and was very disappointed by their answer. I purchased the RXP version for use with the Flysimware Lear 35, Caranado Excel, and the Extreme Prototypes Lear 25, which are all decent models. With the F1 GTN, I can get enroute VNAV path to display in the HSI, while not necessarily couple the VNAV path to the autopilot. That's fine, it doesn't work that way in the Lear 35 or 20 series. it might be different with the Excel. I have heard two different stories on that and have not flown that airplane. With the RXP, I can't get the VNAV path to display on the HSI. That was problem with the F1 awhile back, but with Al's help we get that resolved. Unfortunately, the F1 doesn't work with the new GTN Trainer software. I hope they Flight1 gets this figured out upgraded. Having a nearly real world RNAV system in P3D, FSX ,etc. is really nice! I suggest to stop the MS a.v and use a router (dual IP`s) Pat could help you with that How`s P3D V5.1 otherwise? January 26, 20215 yr Hi Stef, Yes, I have a Router. What do you mean by "dual IP's"? In some respects, I wished I had stayed with P3D v4.5 as V5.1 has some issues, stutters mainly at airports at KSFO. Plus, I lost use of my VRS F-18 E as they have yet to migrate it from V4.5 to V5.1. January 26, 20215 yr I like to fly realistic, no as in "real life". I don't care too much if I have older airac. I usually back up older navigraph airac and when I want to fly with F1 gtn I choose airac version embadded with garmin trainer "F1" version, and use it with proatc ecc. I would prefer up-to-date airac, but unfortunately with products (Rxp e F1) based on garmin trainer it is not possible. igor Igor Bischi
January 27, 20215 yr I wonder if versions 2.7 and 3.0 of the Garmin Trainer could co-exist on one's computer and so support both the Flight1 and RXP GTNs respectively, or do the Flight1 and RXP installs both expect to find the Garmin Trainer in the same 'standard' location? Another issue is that installing a new Garmin Trainer may automatically uninstall the previous one, so to have both trainer's available you might have to 'hide' the existing trainer when installing the new one. Thx, Al Edited January 27, 20215 yr by ark

January 27, 20215 yr 14 hours ago, Bert Pieke said: That is exactly what happens 😉 That's what I thought. 🤕 For the average person, if you have the RXP GTNs you really don't also need the Flight1 GTNs unless the Flight1 en route VNAV feature ( which I don't really like as implemented -- they should at least change the color or shape/design of the 'yellow' indicator needles between en route and glide slope/glide path use ) is important to you. However, I can see where an aircraft developer who wants to make sure their products work with either the RXP or Flight1 GTNs would want to be able to use either version. I guess having two computers is one way to do that! 😉 Al Edited January 27, 20215 yr by ark
February 22, 20215 yr Last version is 6.70 from Garmin, last one supported by Flight1 is 6.62... I suppose I have to update manually the database... hopefully it works. A reminder to me to avoid future add-ons or products from Flight1. At some point I will switch to Rxp.. but I will loose all my previous GTN configs...
