Can we stop with the cliché regions like Europe and North America please? Let's get out of our bubble and explore the world for once, you know, like the purpose the sim was intended for.

I kind of a agree but only to some extent. While exploration and leaving „the bubble“ is certainly worthwhile - in this sim more than ever - I still think it‘s safe to say that many users have a special interest in their home area, and I don‘t see anything wrong with that. So the size of the community in a respective country is certainly a valid criterion.

As others have said, the popularity of an area is probably another important factor, maybe even more important. As we know they do have data on where most people fly, so I‘m sure they take that into account as well.

I‘d plea for a mix:

- Areas with a big communities (because we like to fly in places we know well)

- Areas that are popular but don‘t necessarily have a large user base such as e.g. the Caribbean or Polynesia

- Some gems that aren‘t that popular to satisfy our thirst for exploration.

It also might be a good idea to keep potential new markets in mind.

Moreover, let‘s not forget that not every sceney enhancement has to be part of a World Update. At some point, for instance, they updated the mesh in the Alps and the Himalayas without even mentioning it. Also the updated water masks aren‘t tied to the World Updates.

Whatever their priorities, the good thing is, eventually they‘ll have updated the whole planet; more or less.

I hope they update Canada.  So many Canadian cities have very little photogrammetry.  For example, only downtown Vancouver has photogrammetry. Once you leave downtown Vancouver, it's all autogenerated.

I should think, or at least it would seem sensible anyway, to look at the demographics of flight simmers and then tackle the world updates in a vaguely similar order of user popularity, which it kind of looks like they are sort of doing.

Yep, certainly looks that way. Still I mostly fly Oceania and Asia and am hopeful "as real as it gets" will eventually apply for these regions too...  -

As well as flying locally (NZ and AUS) I fly real world routes from here to Asia (Singapore, Hong Kong,  and China.  - As well as the USA). While Europe and the USA even in pre-ehanced defaults are very good for the most part. Asia is not.

Bing 3d Maps need a radical updating and considering the number of cities in China that are in excess of 12 million Population this is lamentable - the current Bing data is tragically out of date by 10 to 15 years in most cases. (Google has much more recent imagery). Happily a developer has been working on cityscapes for the Asian region - such as  Shanghai , Seoul and Hong Kong buildings, that have been updated as payware so far.(good job too!!)

And thanks to a 3rd party Freeware developer (Chen Li), at least you can now fly into and out of Chongqing now. ..(Regional pop 32 million so no small city) even though the freeware developer (thanks)  has so far only modelled the two original runways and added taxiways, ramps plus a good rendition of the original terminal 1 complete with airbridges.  (There are currently 3 runways with a 4th planned ) and it is missing the giant new (4 years old) international terminal). at least it is so much better than default where there was no terminals per se', no ramp, no taxiways!!!  So you could not start a cold and dark flight there. and could not taxi  to a terminal after landing as they did not exist. .  A similar story exits for many other airports throughout this region.

Time will tell whether Bing developers get around to this area, or we will just have to rely on freeware and payware developers.to fill the gaps.

Just keep in mind guys. I was hoping that after US update correct lot of medium and smaller airports. And we are not talking about  buildings or taxiway layout just obvious bugs. Imagine my disappointment after US update was released  and my home airport  KCRQ was left as it was before with north ramp  mutilated with cracks and spikes. Even though I submitted this bug i alpha/beta and even after release some of which were marked as "completed" Little did Asobo care...

I'd like India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Bora Bora, PNG. With tons and tons of coconut palm trees. We do not have coconut trees in the sim. WTH! I mean really. Kerala, India and Srilanka is oceans of coconut trees. tropical countries and the many Islands around it.. Lakshadeep  Agatti Islands, Andamans Islands,

They can even do the entire Masai Mara tour from Tanzania to Kenya with all the animals migrating from the South to the North.. Wildebeest, Lions, giraffe, Elephants. We can fly over them in small planes.. That would be amazing. 🙂

If you have a look at the Navigraph survey almost 50% of the simmers that participated are from Europe.

Yep, I am French, but I would love to see those places instead. Exotic and island hopping is what we need, if we want something fresh and new.

But before that we might get the entire Europe, Canada and multiple USA update, so not before 2022-23

Half the trees in Australia are above the ground missing bridges   but I suppose America will come first as usual
