March 5, 20215 yr I've heard "Twitchy" and Edgy" so far to describe the flight model. So is my mother-in-law. Anyone care to expand? Real spit pilots talk about it being like driving a Ferrari but feeling like you're in your granny's Ford Fiesta having just taken a corner - you glance at the speedo and see you're doing 260 kts effortlessly. The Keyword there is effortlessly. They also say that you don't get in a spit - you strap it on to your back. I'm an old A2A Wings Of Power Spitfire MK 1/2 with Accu-sim Veteran. My expectations are set high. How are pilots in our new MSFS 2020 synthetic World finding this one? Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
March 5, 20215 yr Wow, this is a fun plane. Here is a video of my first test flight, the Spitfire seems at home here at Shoreham EGKA. Nice to land on grass, less braking needed. Be vigilant with rudder on landing and T/O. But it was easier than I thought it should be. 90 knot landing speed is nice. I like this one better than the one in X-plane. I have to say she looks magnificent. I have a lot of practice to get my Immelmann smooth, but this was just the first one, stall was very gentle as well, that is just before I buzz the tower. This was recorded using FSplayground and Bandicam. That is why you may see some stutter, this was all recorded not live but in playback. My 4 monitor system can't quite keep up with all that load. When I fly I am in cockpit view and the frame rate is very smooth. March 5, 20215 yr Sensitive on the joystick, a joy to fly. Great sound. Really hope Jankees gets on to this one. T45 Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Treetops45

Shoreham won't be inviting you back anytime soon - we had an incident with a Hunter a few years ago that's made them understandably shy of low aerobatics outside of the given Constraints. Made us all shy in fact. RIP. Not too impressed with that, I have to say. Sound was awful too - like a modulated farting noise. No cockpit views doesn't help to get a sense of what it's like to fly. Sorry to say - not impressive.
March 5, 20215 yr It’s pretty and fun but the FM doesn’t seem as responsive as the DCS one. Bit railsy. But for 27 USD it’s a no-brainer. Edit: and yeah, sounds are a bit...meh. Edited March 5, 20215 yr by scotchegg i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
March 5, 20215 yr If it was free and still wrong I wouldn't have it in my hangar. You don't just look like David Niven but you also talk like him. Clipped and perfect in speech. Hail fellow, well met, and all that. Isn't "A Matter Of Life And Death" just the best movie ever made? Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Will Fly For Cheese
