February 4, 20215 yr Loved my Real Air Spit. Fingers firmly folded. But not holding breath, given current quality of 3rd party addons. Edited February 4, 20215 yr by Paul_Yorks Paul Skol
February 4, 20215 yr I'll try to pay attention to details when I watch the first videos post release.... Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
February 4, 20215 yr I do hope the flight dynamics are somewhere near realistic. No Spitfire should be able to take off with full flap. i7-10700K; RTX 2070 Super; 16GB; P3Dv4.5HF3 & MSFS2020.
February 4, 20215 yr Looks visually nice. The "some things can't be done in MSFS due to the SDK" catchall is a bit scary. I'd really like a nice piston single warbird to add to my hanger to go with the MB-339. AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
February 4, 20215 yr Hello all, Somewhere in the introduction (second paragraph) there is a statement "incredibly accurate landscapes" I would like to point them in the direction of a departure or arrival at YBWW .. Wellcamp, Toowoomba in Queensland Australia. This is an airfield capable of processing a 747 in real life. After they have done that, I would like them to repeat this statement. and then reassure me that their aircraft is considerably better than this incredibly accurate landscape. I am very, very sure that it will be and I am very much looking forward to its purchase. Whilst I do not own any Flying Iron products, I have never heard a bad word about their aircraft. My opening paragraph is NOT a rant, nor was it ever intended to be. I love my MSFS despite its "bugs" and short comings and I am sure that there are actually many areas that do have "incredibly accurate landscapes" Australia, unfortunately is not one of them, but it is still visually far superior to all the other sims which I still use regularly. Again, I am looking forward eagerly to this release. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). RAM 32gb Corsair Vengeance (2x16) 3200mhz. 1 x Gigabyte Aorus GTX1080ti Extreme and a 1200watt PSU. 1 x 1tb SSD 3 x 240BG SSD and 4 x 2TB HDD OS Win 10 Pro 64bit. Simulators ... FS2004/P3Dv4.5/Xplane.DCS/Aeroflyfs2...MSFS to come for sure.

This is a fair point and I agree buddy.. My 1070 might tell you to pipe down though haha... one day I’ll be there with you am sure 🙂

We have a simolar problem with our P40, still trying to find a work around.
February 4, 20215 yr If you fancy some nice flight controls to go with it.... https://authentikit.org/spitfire-mkix/ Varjo Aero, 5090 FE, i9-12900K, 64GB Ram, RX Viper Rudder Pedals, AuthentiKit Controls + Fulcrum Yoke

Of course, I'm looking forward to Aeroplane Heaven's Spitfire Mark 1A What a dilemma. The MarkIX for performance, or the Mark 1 for sheer style. Doubtless I’ll end up getting both. What with Xmas just around the corner. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
February 4, 20215 yr Hello to you all, Did anyone else not the "Flaps Up" after take off? in the flight stick video. Looks very promising though, does it not? I keep saying it, but we have a lot to look forward to with this sim. Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). February 4, 20215 yr The mk I has always been my favourite 😄 but I would not knock back a mk IX For Spitfire fans that have not seen it, Dark Blue World (Czech: Tmavomodrý svět) from 2001 is worth watching. Though for purist they do have a habit of mixing various periods of spitfire (like in this clip below) and occasionally throwing in unused Buchon 109 footage from the original Battle of Britain movie. Regardless, well worth a look if you have not seen it. Only flyable Spitfire I have seen real life was the Temora museum's MK VIII. Ironically the one day I visited the museum at Temora it was on display but not flying but I managed to catch it at an RAAF airshow a year or so later. Only got one video of it which turned out pretty awful due to a dodgy camera. Edited February 4, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
February 5, 20215 yr While you wait, if you have the Just Flight Spitfire Mark IV, that ports into MSFS: Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
February 5, 20215 yr If you are unfamiliar with Flying Iron then do yourself a favour: browse Youtube and see what they've produced for X-Plane. This will not disappoint (SDK permitting), most of us will battle just to start the engine.
