Happy flying People of AVSIM forum, Ultimately you have to make a call.. Who do you trust? Folks who have been here on AVSIM for decades being honest and helping simmers, The AVISM Family or some cartoons who come here to register to spout nonsense? eh! I think I am done with this thread. February 19, 20215 yr Some out of the way Reddit poll, thats scientifically based... Take a look at sim market, its the best seller they have. Think the people, that were developing their 737 to market are bummed, cause they are waiting for some magical SDK to be released, and MS can’t even get the program bugs out without doing updates that cause more.. I don’t really get what the big agenda is, people will pick what they want, When Mercedes comes out with a new car, do they go on reddit and do a poll, without even trying the car or seeing it in person. The F15 was in way worse shape on initial release, but heard a small peep compared, and its double the price.

As you say, the truth is some way between the two, and for 20 quid it's not going to break the bank for people to find out for themselves, which is what I've said all along. I'm never likely to place much store in a survey on Reddit, but then again, making the weekly best seller list on Simmarket is no guarantee of quality either, especially given some of the utter cack they're peddling at the moment for MSFS. For example, if you look at the all-time best-selling Vendors on Simmarket, Majestic Software - makers of the super-realistic and bargain-priced Dash-8 Q400 - is at number 35 on the list, but Carenado - makers of some very hit and miss stuff of widely varying quality - is 22 places in front of Majestic, at number 13. If that doesn't tell us that Simmarket's product popularity stats mean nothing in relation to quality, I don't know what will! February 19, 20215 yr polls are completely irrelevant. At the end of the day it's your choice, and you can base it on whatever info you like. For me, the best info is looking at the reviews and feelings of the people I trust and I know (or think I do) have similar feelings to me.. but as importantly, theres some people on Avsim that if they do a slamdown on a product, then that makes me more interested in it and I'll look at it more closely. It's a bit like film and art reviews. Everything is going to appeal to some but not all of the audience. For me, I don't have time to faff around with an aircraft simulator, I'm using this as a flight simulator, so for example.. whilst I like the occaisional cold and dark start.. if the aircraft does not respond to Cntl-e for when I just have time for one flight, it won't be going in my hanger, no matter how well it's modelled 🙂 Graham System specs... February 19, 20215 yr Moderator Well, I happen to like it. Fun to fly, decent looking for $20, complicated enough not to be boring but not so much as to be work. It's not PMDG but it's well worth the price. RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

The easiest way is just to vector yourself direct to the WP. I like doing that anyway, it is a great way to intercept the loc w/o doing the whole STAR. A bit of math to figure decent profile, it is fun. It is also cool to do some impromptu holds. And decent over a hold fix. February 19, 20215 yr It will let you stick on known nav aids to go direct, but in my experience it doesn't like manually offset user waypoints. So you can usually do what you want to do, admittedly with a bit of effort sometimes, but it works. Edited February 19, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
