T2G KIND Indianapolis Released 20210224

One more...gate B15 is mislabeled as B26 in the AFCAD, but correct in the SODE xml file.

GSX does not play nice with that...renaming the spot to B15 in the ADE makes it happy again there.

One issue I noticed is that the 3D grass is so tall it obstructs many of the taxiway signs. Anybody else?

Well, my first run around this airport was underwhelming, to say the least...blurry default terminal textures, and default signs in the middle of ramps and taxiways all over the airfield.

I loaded the KIND_AF.bgl file into ADE, loaded the stock scenery objects and taxi signs, then deleted them, which creates excludes for all the default objects.  Using the revised ADE file, all of a sudden the waters parted and some very nice high-res terminals appeared and the default signage in the middle of the ramps and taxiways is gone.

I sent my findings to Taxi2Gate, and they appear to be working on a (hopefully) quick hotfix.

Ooofffff. Thanks for helping him out with this issue. I went to his website (I don't have Facebook) and his site is a mess. The forum is no longer functional. I wonder where he will post this update to? Likely via Simmarket I say. T2G reminds me of a hole in the wall restaurant that looks horrid from the outside but the food is the best around!

I didn't realize it was the 2nd busiest for fedex. wow

For FedEx the hubs are (by importance)

MEM, IND, EWR, and OAK. Upcoming hubs are GSO and possibly AFW.

Out of curiosity, from which of these does FedEx operate the 777? I didn’t see any 777 departures from KIND at all

I saw a couple 777 flights to/from KIND on FlightAware tonight...FDX12 headed to RJBB, and FDX 22 inbound from PANC.

CDG is their biggest European hub right?

Planning to take the PMDG 777 for a freight run when the update is released? 😉

I'm planning on doing that myself and tracked some FDX 777s. They fly a lot of long hauls to Asia and a bit less to Europe from both MEM and IND mainly, although more from the former. Some domestic routes are taking off from MEM, some but less from IND.

If you could pop back in here and let us know if he releases a hot fix, it would be appreciated.

Great can't wait to try this. I lived in Indy for a few years, they started the airport construction right before I left. What a massive undertaking it was. I remember watching them paving a very wide freeway to where the new terminal would be.

You read me mind 😉 That is exactly what I'm planning to do! After I posted I saw those some flights to RJBB and PANC that @w6kd also mentioned, thanks for the headsup!

Planning FDX29 KIND-PANC & FDX22 PANC-KIND. Assuming the PMDG T7 releases this weekend.
In the last 3 weeks I've upgraded my sim hardware to Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo.  Expecting delivery of the Logitech rudder pedals tomorrow. Should be fun weekend.

Have you heard anything about BQN (TJBQ) being made into hub as well?

The PR govt has been talking that up for like 15 years now...I doubt anything will happen soon, as the runway is in pretty bad shape and needs reconstruction, scheduled between now and 2026 (that means actual completion will probably be sometime around 2035 the way things work in Puerto Rico).
