March 18, 20215 yr Even though Im a navigraph subscriber, i think this is a bad idea. Can the developers push on msfs to get the right navadata in the sim they need, like they do with the SDK?

March 18, 20215 yr I do not mind as long as there are no discompatibilities or disadvantages of any kind with Microsoft Flight Simulator data system and or nav database now and in the future. But by the way thank you for asking. March 18, 20215 yr ICEMANFBW: Would this change also help nudge the addition of proper VNAV functionality up? Really missing that. Thanks for all your work!
March 18, 20215 yr Some simmers may not need the on-going latest navigraph data and work on a snapshot purchased at a given point in time. I would welcome this as long as you can sync your flight planning tools and simulator at a given point in time and update as you see fit. Thankyou
March 18, 20215 yr I didn’t realize the default navdata was missing so much information. But then again I use navigraph, so count me in too! Gary i9-13900K, Asus RTX 4080, Asus Z790 Plus Wi-Fi, 32 GB Ram, Seasonic GX-1000W, LG C1 48” OLED 4K monitor, Quest 3 VR
March 18, 20215 yr I assume Aerosoft Navdata Pro will also be part of this, not only Navigraph? It's OK if this is a temporary fix that improves an unsatisfactory situation with the current navdata solution, but it is regrettable that developers have to break one of the free assets of MSFS (navadata updates in this case). I fear the easy slide to FSX, P3D where one had to buy, navadata, weather, time fixer add-ons, etc, to make the sim complete. I sincerely hope that Asobo will rectify this ASAP if we want to avoid loosing the MSFS navdata. Edited March 18, 20215 yr by Jean-Claude

March 18, 20215 yr Is this really necessary? I thought the WT team had shown that most of the data is in the NavBlue dataset, it's just poorly used by the stock avionics which throw a lot of it away. Is the A32NX code making the best use of all the available stock data? A big reason for getting into MSFS was because it was supposed to be simpler with things built in. Once we get into external nav data that simplicity goes away. AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
