Hotfix performance ?

The fact that the fix is taking a long time isn't the most infuriating part of this problem. The lack of communication is indefensible. What is the point of having an official mod team and community organizers if you don't use them to communicate with us? Why can't you get off your Word Not Allowed and tell us yourself?

This has been a problem with asobosoft since the inception of this thing. TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON.

Absolutely spot on. They would put out so many fires right now if they shown some transparency with the community, it’s been a shambles lately.

As far as I know they acknowledge there is a problem and they are working on a (hot)fix.

Nobody ever heard of T76 and now suddenly everybody DEMANDS to fly there without problems.

I dont care what the problem is, nor how it's solved. Just over 2 weeks ago the patch that caused the problem was released.  they communicated and confirmed 9 day ago that there was a problem.  There is next to nothing to be gained by knowing what the problem is  because you cant solve it.

I don't want to go to T76.

I've never visited T76, but experienced performance issues/extreme stutters at many other places where I like to fly.

There is a lot to be gained I believe. I work in IT for a large company and a part of my job is to report national issues to key stakeholders within the firm. You would be surprised out how effective keeping people merely informed on the progress and a part of the collective resolution of the issue makes such a difference when people are clearly unhappy with a product. It’s just good business and looking after your customer base.

I'd rather they got their noses to the grindstone and got on with it rather than wasting valuable time putting flowery language together to attempt to placate me in the mean time.

Well, this is the only issue with MSFS currently requires a hotfix, given that it's in active testing (latest build was released yesterday) it can't be anything else.

Not true, the tree draw distance needs to be fixed...🙁

An how much coding do you expect the community manager to be doing exactly?

They have hired that person for a reason and you might not want it but I guarantee just one update a day on the progress of the fix would of gone along way for a lot of people.

The CM has been popping up here and there regularly on the official forum, answering questions, giving help and advice, coralling the threads so they don't run riot with meaningless drivel (ahem!)  - that's where you should be looking for information about problems/ issues, etc.

What do you want her to do;  - come to Avsim once an hour to grovel?

I do not know, you young whipper snappers.

Back in the days of early IL2 we got a hotfix from Oleg every few months AND WE WERE LUCKY -  the guys in FS2000 had to wait at least a year for a hotfix and had to wait for it to turn up in the mailbox.

So you are happy with the way the sim works? If I were, I would be flying.

If I am here, it's because tonight it's stutters after stutters and even one second pauses everywhere I tried, so I had to close it and came to the forum to see if there are solutions, hotfixes, whatever.

And instead I find you making fun of me.

This is really getting out of control imho.

Andrea

Nowhere I wrote that I am happy with the current situation. You just assume that, Wrongly.

And I am not making fun of you. I am just making fun of the idea that the fix must be super easy or that Asobo could easily perform al rollback. Obviously not. People just assume nonsense without any expertise. That is what I am making fun of.

Have a good day.

Ahh, #$@#.

This thread title had me all excited Asobo had put a fix out!  😞

In these happy times there were updates once in a while. P3D brought us the nonsense of several updates a year with marginal benefits. Now MS releases one (flawed) once a month on average, not counting the hotfixes and what they sneak through the streaming. What is the next step ? Once a day ?

Truth is we need a  Bureau of Sabotage (the Frank Herbert’s fans will understand) to break this frenzy 😆 .

No am not looking for a forum moderator here which is all you’ve described there.

Am talking about a technical update from Asobo on a daily basis on one of their platforms not avsim. This is an issue that is affecting thousands of people, affecting them in a way that a lot of people have stopped using the sim altogether.
This isn’t a very difficult concept to understand. Communication with the community would go along way in managing people’s frustration right now and save their reputation which is dropping with every passing update of this sim.
