I don't hate her, but that personality is just plain superfluous. Maybe it's a YouTube thing. So don't be too hesitant on passing us the torch 😂

They moved on to a more "exciting" game. They both said that sitting at their computer screen watching scenery go slowly by, wasn't that interesting to them. Ha, regular flights can get VERY exciting. I flew in aTBM and about 20nm from my destination a complete electical failure triggered through a program I use. That means NO instruments beside the compass at all since the TBM has no backups. Also you cannot deploy the gear and the flaps, because it is all electrical. So I had to find my airport in the middle of some mexican mountains by sight only and do a belly landing without flaps and without even knowing my altitude and speed. This also was at about 7k feet elevation. Naturally I was way to fast, overshot the runway and luckily he thin trees i slid into didn't trigger a crash, since all crash setting were enabled. And this all in VR. I also had an ONAIR load that was fragile, so I needed to land as smoothly as possible and not bank too hard, so very wide turns. Edited March 25, 20215 yr by kakihara123

MFS would not lend itself to Xbox & Xbox controllers the same way that Microsoft Flight otherwise did. The Microsoft Flight platform was a different type of computer-flying experience and it was targeted to an entirely different audience than that which visits this site. (Yes, I know there is a small part of the AVSIM forum dedicated to the MF platform.) And even though Flight, with its 'chase-the-gold-coins' types of activities, was aimed at the more casual flight simmer, it did not make it. (I have been going to great lengths to avoid using the A word to describe the kind of platform Flight was ;;) ). Flying a complex aircraft (including G.A.) and utilizing the FMS and the many other [programmable] systems of a complex aircraft are infinitely more difficult tasks, and require significantly more jumping-through-hoops, when using a controller as opposed to a keyboard. Chase gold coins and catch things with an airplane via an Xbox controller? Sure. Fly an airliner or complex G.A. aircraft utilizing a controller? Not so sure. Perhaps MS/A will [continue to] try to target both audiences. Those who straddle fences, though, tend to end up with the fence you-know-where: right where it belongs. Some of you are calmly asking that question. In the aggregate you're an angry mob throwing rocks. I saw some goober on the MSFS Instagram the other day demand a hotfix for the stuttering problem with all the verbiage used by a 5-year-old stamping his foot and demanding candy. And that particular fool also wanted MS to fix something that isn't working right in FSX. I mean, seriously? Fix a long-abandoned sim that came out 15 years ago and has been replaced by five versions of P3d? Heck, while we're at it maybe I should howl angrily at Atari for never finishing the Swordquest line that they promised they'd finish when I bought Earthworld in 1983. All that idiocy aside, you already know why you can't use the product. There's a bug. Asobo has already told you it's working on a fix. That's all you need to know. If there's a safety recall on your car that doesn't yet have a fix, you get told "X part could break and cause Y problem. Park it until we fix it." Then when a fix comes out you just get told "bring it to the dealership and they will do X to the part." You don't get daily engineering updates just as you're not going to get daily coding updates from Asobo because that would be a foolish waste of time for everyone. And they're not going to tell you "when it will be made so we can use it again," because they don't know either. If a fix is in beta right now then they hope it will be released on a certain day, but if the beta turns up bugs then they have more work to do and it won't be released then. The answer will always be "as soon as we are able to fix it." The vast majority of us posting here have alternate methods of entertainment. I'm flying P3d and DCS while I wait for MSFS to be fixed. It's just not that big of a deal. Yeah, it's annoying, but screaming at Asobo isn't going to help anything. There's nothing high and mighty, or righteous, here, certainly not on this end ;;). It is simply a fact that it is infinitely more complicated, mechanically, to program a FMS and to utilize/operate a complex aircraft via controller. There is no value-judgement. (Avid Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, Euro Truck Simulator, F1, PGA Tour 2K21 (and many others) player here- all of which lend themselves wonderfully to consoles and to controllers ;;).)
