I had this too. Couldn't cancel my way out of the Kaspersky dialog box, but the "remove Kaspersky" menu option worked. So it's off my sim pc now and it's probably not coming back. It's an intrusive little b*gger anyway and I shall not miss it. By most accounts, the built in security in Win 10 should be fine these days.

I never mentioned it was Asobo's fault. False positive is reported. I have my sim working. I do not need to reinstall. Thanks for the opinion.

Kapersky is garbage, as are most of the other AV programs. Use the default Defender, scan your drives once in a while with Malwarebytes. Done and done

And yet, even Windows Defender always tries to block download of the MSFS SDK installer as being “potential malware”. I have to certify at least three times between initial download and installation that I really do want to keep and run the file. Kind of amusing that Microsoft’s own AV solution does not trust a file created and digitally signed by Microsoft itself, and downloaded from an official MS website.

Windows defender is better than nothing, but I like Webroot, which doesn't slow a gaming PC down and works very well.

LOL yes, we all better be careful what we say about Kaspersky AV on a public forum. Mr. Kaspersky himself is one of the richest men in Russia and with a Russian military background, he has connections and he will find you if he wants to. One of his children was kidnapped for a huge ransom years back. He went after them and brought the entire syndicate down. The stuff of blockbuster movies.

Use windows and once a month malwarebytes.

If you dont go were porn is and know a bad email, click bait when you see one..then you will be fine, not had any AV for the past 15 years.
