Yeah, looking good. The sun also seems nicely ‘blinding’ as it rises.

Looks very very nice, I can only hope they are also working on weather environment.

And this is just the preview....at what point will it be available for full release? It may be another year off...and too late.

It’s never too late…… I’m not sure what it’s late for, but nevertheless xplane prevails and always will….. has done for decades.

Yep...it can prevail, but the flight sim landscape has changed (not like it has been for decades with respect to user engagement, updates, 3P Devs etc.).

We will have to see what the next version ultimately brings to the table as well as the support...and when. If we are talking another year off..."new lighting" needs to be the least of the impressive advances.

Yeah

Just like saying the lighting and the streaming graphic in MSFS "needs to be the least of the impressive advances", even though it was the number one most request feature change the community ask for.

Maybe our resident softie was subconsciously thinking about it in the context of "If this isn't the best they have microsoft is in real trouble - first DCS now XP"

Because isn't the usual way to do this to save the best till last, and this is only the first in what looks like a series of teasers.

What is this "Too late" garbage I keep reading when LR release new previews?

This 1 small video is trending throughout the entire X-Plane community.  Too late nothing.  Next gen graphics AND a superior flight model!

XP11 is nearing the end of it's version run.  I honestly don't know facts, but I have heard things around the virtual LR offices.  Vulkan/Metal was the foundation for the next gen graphics, with XP11 being the test bed.  Weather got a huge update as well, and that was hinted at for XP12.  So, in all probability, this will be for XP12.  Other wannabe experts/fortune tellers/psychics, making posts that it will be another year before XP12 comes out, have no clue what they're going on about.  They like to think they do, because it fills them with delusions of importance.
